Matt Burns best described Mandy Feiler's music as:
"Spencer Brewer's cello/strings meets Dennis DeYoung's piano meets Avril Lavigne's pop sensibility meets the upper register belt that Paula Cole wishes she had meets the lilt and emotion of Kate Bush......meets Natalie Imbruglia's soul-tortured tone."
spot on. what's your opinion? Leave me a comment about it!
disclaimer: Despite the slight Paula Cole slam I am a HUGE fan and admirer and am eagerly waiting for her return!
I am an artist with an identity crisis. When I was three I wanted to be a ballerina, when I was six I wanted to be Annie on Broadway, when I was twelve I wanted to be a commercial artist and when I was eighteen I wanted to be an opera singer. Guess I always knew I wanted to perform but I was definitely confused. But confusion is not always a bad thing. By exploring my music you will see that all of my aspirations are alive in everything I write, sing and perform. My past influences act as my present inspiration. I am a pop-crooner-torch-songtress who tends to write under a musical theatery ambience. Stick around, listen a little and hear it for yourself.
I have also included some listening examples from my site below. Just click on a catagory and listen to a quick sample of me singing in that style! It's very Cybil of me, don't cha think?
"Not only is there a right to be happy, there is a duty to be happy. So much sadness exists in the world that we are all under obligation to contribute as much joy as lies within our powers."
