Anybody who has anything to say, anybody who has a bit of character and anybody who enjoys something different from the usual plastic lifeless bars which are full of plastic lifeless people!

The finest rock and alternative friendly bar in the Bradford and West Yorkshire area and also Bradford's premier independent student venue. We play everything from indie to heavy metal and everything between and beyond. Always on the lookout to accommodate new and interesting music and we pride ourselves on our diversity. Everybody is welcome in The Zuu Bar!
The Zuu Bar is a brand new music venue which is situated on the first floor of the old Trades Hall on Sunbridge Road.
This building was most recently known for housing the First Sports and Social Club which was a private members club. It is now open to the general public as a freehouse. There is a great little pub on the ground floor called The Bus Stop, which is owned by the same parent company as not only the Zuu Bar but also The Black Swan public house on Thornton Road.
The team behind The Zuu Bar itself are the same team who were responsible for resurrecting the Mannville Arms between 2007 and 2009. After the brewery chose to change the tenants of the Mannville in November 2009, they relocated here, with the intention of bringing with them the same infrastructure, ethos and events calendar. It is literally a minute's walk away from both the new Bradford Rio's club and the Castle Hotel on Barry Street so makes an ideal pre-bar on a night out in Bradford.
The team intend to keep the same musical format of the old Mannville Arms with live music from all walks of life and quality DJs playing alternative music from a plethora of sub-genres, from reggae to melodic indie to extreme metal and everything between and beyond. There are many new and exciting ideas for the place, which will be revealed in the course of time. The new venue is free of brewery tie and so a wider selection of drinks will be available and at very reasonable prices. As always, they pride themselves on diversity and would like to extend a warm welcome to not only Mannville customers of old but anyone who has a love of music.
As from 3rd November 2009, Michael and Billy Dunn and their team are in no way affiliated with the Scottish & Newcastle owned Mannville Arms public house on Great Horton Road.
