I'm thrilled Obama got the nomination - I'm sure you probably are, too. :) Now if the Democratic party can just unite and rally together for positive change. It certainly is desperately needed.
On a completely different note, over two years later and at a point where I never thought it would happen, I've finally got a plan to see Sweeney. So, even though I'm many miles from NYC and we're all in different places now than we were then, I still thank you for being the initial spark that ignited my passion for the show, and that it led me not only to a moving story and beautiful music, but to the group of overwhelmingly kind friends who are actually making this possible for me now.
Hey M! I've been off-line for a while, so I just decided to catch up on your Sunday Songs. I have to tell you, I am now a little addicted to Those Shoes. I mean, what's better than a great pair of shoes? ;)
Happy Valentine's Day! The moment I saw this, I knew I just had to share it with you. (Sadly, no Wallace valentines were available from the nerdy scientist valentine page.) XO!
I'm, uh, going to represent NYU supporter section, because no one really knows that my school exists. And it's geographically kind of close to Colleen, so...
I don't know about everyone else, but I was SOLELY there for Obama. (I kid, I kid...)
But seriously, it was really fun and it was nice to be out with some of my favorite peeps, watching the many talented people perform, all in the name of our favorite Democratic candidate. :)
BaROCK on! (Okay, that was kind of lame, but I still like it.)
Representing the almost-a-decade-out-of-college faction of the support sector, I'm going to act offended because I didn't get a shout-out. HOW DARE YOU forget me. I demand an apology or recognition of some sort!
(The operative word is "act." Lovely performance last night. So nice to see you on stage again -- and beardless!)
Representing the NYU faction of the support sector, good job tonight. When I first saw the BWW article, I was secretly hoping you'd sing to Jenn Colella. That takes balls. Sorry about the lack of glowsticks this time.
Hello, sometime ago I Bought the 2005 revival album of 'Sweeney Todd'. And as I listened to it, I loved your voice. so i listened to othere things too . You're magnificent!!!
Now I must tell you my dear Mano that I was about to leave a ridiculously cheesy comment saying something along the lines of, 'Thank you for adding me as your MySpace friend'. I have, fortunately, decided that it would be far too annoying and abnoxious to leave such a comment. So I leave you with this: You are bloody amazing. : D
Alright, so it didn't come out quite as nicely as I would have hoped. I do however hope that you are doing splendidly and that your day is treating you well.
My copy of Moonshot finally came this week, which was cause for a celebratory moment to blast "Don't Feed the Beast" from an honest-to-goodness CD and finally take "Another Day" in the car. :) Also, the design of the cover and such is lovely in person. I'm still thrilled you did the album, both for you and for those of us who get to listen to it.
Obama '08? You have no idea how thrilled I was to see that there!
I don't know how he lost the New Hampshire primaries, but I have a feeling a "teary" incident played against him. That, and the New Hampshire primaries made a bit of a mockery of themselves...seriously, McCain for the Republican party? I don't get it.
My name is Julia Hopkins and i am thirtee. I went to see the revival cast perform Sweeney Todd on broadway and your performance really stood out to me. I think you did such an amazing job creating Tobi's character. You made Tobi my favorite character out of any broadway play i know of. You also are an amazing violin player and an inspiration to me because i am taking violin lessons now. I am really happy that I got a chance to
