Manu’s fusion of Acoustic, Rock and Folk jumps from mellow to manic in minutes. With a natural, soulful, smooth style the sound is armed with rootsy, raw and emotional lyrics about love and life.

...then Manu took to the stage, and brought us his beautiful voice, smooth effortless guitar work and distinctive songs. I went into vocal mode soon after he started and shouted a request ("Impossible") - which he immediately played! YAY!!! Thanks Manu, it was bloody brilliant, as was his whole set!
He switched guitars to play the fantastic "Emotional Hide and Seek" and fortunately for us, gave most of his set to his own songs, as he is a great songwriter.
Manu has a well deserved reputation for covering unlikely funk and disco songs really well, but he should equally have a reputation for being a good writer - as he is! - and showed us with his work tonight.
Another favourite of mine, "MEGO State" he didn't play, but Nick was anxious to hear his version of "All Night Long" again (which was wonderful) - so we got that. Which put the place in a party mood for the main act. Lee Rogers.
Saturday 4th November 2006 @ The RMA Tavern, Portsmouth. Supporting Lee Rogers. Review by Gareth Howells for www.vinylrecords.co.uk/rma.html
"This guy is very good. Think John Mayer on guitar, with someone John Mayerish, but less soft on vocals. Cool, cool, stuff."
- Alistair Cowan (www.openmicnight.co.uk, Redwood).
"Manu delivered two stonking sets of original numbers and popular covers performed in his own distinctive style - his version of Lionel Richie's All Night Long being a particular highlight! He'll be on the bill again."
- Tom Kelsall, Tuesday 4th February, India Arms, Portsmouth
"This guy is a gem."
- Lee Rogers (Irish Musician - Zenith Cafe Records).
“A truly talented musician."
- Lynsey Hooper (The Sessions on Pulse Radio).
“very professional, awesome on stage!"
- Trevor Rapson (Acoustic Stage organiser for Guilfest)
