I was born in Treviso a small near city near Venice (Italy) in 1975. since i was 15 I've been involved in the local underground club scene in the beginning as a promoter and then also as a dj. In Italy I was also working as a fashion designer and used to run his own label
Fed up with the small Treviso I came to London in 2002 where I attended an MA in fashion at Saint Martins college graduating in 2004.
During and after my MA my musical side grew constantly and I got more and more active in the East London underground clubbing scene as a dj I..ve made more or less constant appearences at the legendary SUD parties hosted by Lakuti, owner of the sudelectronic and Uzuri labels
In the parties I mentioned i was lucky enough to play alongside artists i massively respect like Portable, Lawrence, Sten, Carsten Yost, Mike Shannon, Alex Under, Lump, Oliver Hacke, Daniel Bell, Bruno Pronsato, Agnes, Lee Curtis, Cassy, Margareth Dygas, Move D just to mention some.
I also run my own techno night (or let's say all dayer) at Cafe 1001 in brick lane every 2nd sunday of the month.
Due to my more visual background as a designer my musical style is constructed with an aesthetic approach. I have been deeply inspired by detroit techno and electro, acid house, new york deep house and garage and electronica, labels like trax, warp, metroplex, and all the rave culture in general but also by not techno related musicians like Ennio Morricone, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd.
I do also listen a lot to contemporary classic music, avantgarde and experimental jazz.
I think what really got me when i first heard house and techno was the depth, the trip, the chance that gives this music to make your own journey by yourself but at the same time not alone.
My production is usually very deep and dark and tends to have often strong percussive elements mixed together with dry electronic sounds on groovy basslines.
Although i love house i consider myself more and more of a techno head, which is something that reflects also on the development of my production.
My first release, Numash, was on Davide Squillace..s Minisketch,
but i consider my first mature ep dontlaughatme, that came out on serialism records (www.serialismrecords.com) in september 2008
