I also have a page on another network (NextCat), it's smaller than Myspace but it's more focused on entertainment (music, flims, acting, etc. etc.) To get to my nextcat page just click on the banner here.
From my page you can browse the network and join if you like it.
Another little (but interesting) community, in Italian, for everybody creative. Check it out.
Click on the banner below to access my page on TribeHollywood: Feel free to visit, there's some different music on there.
From this website you can actually buy some of my music. It's a great project. Just click on the image to get to my page at audiomicro.
Some of my classical/contemporary music is published on-line by Taukay. I have two string quartets and a vocal (6 voices) piece there. It's free to join and download the scores. Click on the logo and find out more about Taukay.
Naturally, you'll find lots of information and lots of music on my official website. Just click on the picture below:
If you want to request me as a "friend" please do, but just read this first:
Don't get me wrong, I love connections and I'll be happy if you want to be connected. But I don't usually like people sending add requests without saying anything else. I hate to sound snob, but I'm sort of tired of it. Here is why:
I understand we all are here to be visible. We also are here for "networking", horrible word that means to get to know each other works and views, learn from other people critiques, see if we can fit in each others projects, etc. etc. All of that needs some sort of interaction, don't you agree?
So, if you send a request without explaining the reason, I'll take that you did it so that you can have your picture in yet another page.
It's very likely that I'm not going to respond, unless I am in an exceptionally good mood. So, please, when you send a request also send a message to let me know that there's a reason for your request. Pretty please.
p.s.: there's also a short entry on the topic on my blog.
And since we're talking about the blog, there's one I'd like to have everybody's opinion on, it's called "working with a composer". Directors and such are especially welcome to comment.
All the pieces of music here are just excerpts. "Selezione" is the title track from the short film Selezione Del Personale, by Simone Andrizzi. Please go to my website for more information and music. I'm open to collaborate on movies, documentaries, shorts, commercials, etc. etc. etc.!
From a beautiful short movie by Martin Patrice Ndong Eyebe. Read more on my blog!
I'm stopping in to give you a big hug and a sip of red wine! I look forward to working with you one day soon! There's so much to be excited about! Here's a new piece of poetry I wrote. Enjoy! Take care of you, Mario...we'll talk soon. Love to you.
We Gave Cephalonia
woman's cobbler unsewed the bag of the winds, flying her flag, give me Cephalonia, Greek word for head,
harvesting olives, sea breeze carries scent of oregano and thyme, convergence of oral lust, poetry of Ionian rhyme, geography of an ancient watercourse, fault lines of ancient time,
bells of unseen goats ring, I bury my head in the donkey's flanks when I see her drawing water from twin wells, helped by two donkeys hauling on a rope attached to a bucket,
"I've been grazing on shriveled grass or none at all," she said, flying her flag, "give me Cephalonia," Greek word for head,
she laid me on the green banana-leaf carpet, on top, me, palimpsest beneath a medieval manuscript of 69 pages in a poppy field,
monastery trees lined with a circle in the middle, full face and bent knees, lush with bougainvillea, we gave Cephalonia, in a sensual tangle of wild pear, deciphering the erotic language of the Minoan Crete...we gave Cephalonia...

Thanks for posting the beginning of that film short. Looks (and sounds)fantastic. Hopefully it will travel through the city of angels. Speaking of...there's a few Pasolini films playing this weekend and during the week. Not my favorites, but still...
At long last I finished my doctorate and, more importantly, my book on Gilles Deleuze's philosophy. Now it's time to write the pitch for publishing houses. What fun.

Hello Mario! Enjoyed your Good Reason excerpt, almost mediaeval at the start, must be the Eastern influence. My music is stationary at present, too much general work and too much time in the outback. All the best for the New Year to you!
Hello Mario, I'm just between field work and not producing anything at the moment. But I'm at least getting music into production libraries now, if not on actual film or video yet!
thanks for the bulletin about the new song. concerning our companion pasolini, I just noticed that criterion re-released salo: good print, a second disk of extras (three interviews I believe). I ordered it so I'll have more to report later.
sorry I wasn't able to pay you a visit this year. a bit of drama surrounding my dissertation/book. fortunatley this seems to be resolved. hope I can have a rain-check.
Hello Mario, I haven't been around for a while. Enjoyed the counterpoint between the tempo giusto and the slightly discordant instruments in the opening movement of Selezione.
You have listened to the music…. Read the blogs….. Now read this one, The Longest road home….. do you want to support someone who cares or are you going to continue to pay lip service?
i have a really funny joke for you!!! it totally made me think of you when i heard it, but i dont know if telling it over myspace will have the same effect...
but here it goes anyway...
what do you call the baby of a brown chicken and a brown cow??
brown-chicken-brown-cow!! (say it like bow-chicka-bow-wow) hahaha!!
Mario I love your music. It is truly beautiful. You bring so much life to each piece. English Mystery made me cry. It is just so deep and gut wrenchingly beautiful and I can feel it has a story of great magnitude in it. The complexity of Molto Moderato. Mama mia! Secret Place has a contemporary deepness and underlying longing or sorrow that just keeps you rivited. I love the jazzy influences of melancholy of Variazioni tema. Disconjointed but still flowing. Your music moves me. Mario You are amazing and truly a creator in every respect. Your music is everything I have come to know you as: intelligent beautiful comical and witty with lots of layers of humanity. Thank you thank you for being my friend! xoxo Lesha
