Mario Matteoli came into the Smooth & Demented show and play us his music for our KAOS fans! Former fontman of the Weary Boys plays music from his solo album. Click on the above picture and hear the show on www.archive.org
After spending six successful years with The Weary Boys, where Matteoli opened up for such greats as Leon Russell, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson, he decided to go in a different direction and focus exclusively on his solo career. In June of 2006, a 25-year-old Matteoli released “Hard Luck Hittin’,” his debut solo album. The album was well received by fans and critics alike. Some likened the album to the “acoustic solitude of Neil Young or the depressed world spun by Townes Van Zandt,” while others simply described it as “fantastic.” CDs are available at www.mariomatteoli.com, http://cdbaby.com/cd/mariomatteoli or Waterloo Records. Also, the album is now available on iTunes.

Hey Mario--Looking forward to seeing you Saturday. By any chance are you in the area on Tuesday? I'm hosting the songwriters showcase that night, would love to have you stop by for a few songs and chat up the May 31 gig. Thanks--SK

Great set @ The Tractor, you play a pretty mean harmonica. Great harmonies. I love the new cd. Best Friend, Nothing Like You and Ines' Lullaby are my favorites. Ines' being my fav to turn up loud and sing to.
DUDE! wish i could be there for your oaktown shows. but i'm jobless in sweden so that gives me lots of time to catch up on all the myspace stalking that needs to be done. break a pick! xoxo
