Dj Marius Ivanoff is undoubted leader in Lithuania’ dance music world. He was started career 11 years ago, in a dawn of Lithuania’ club life. At the beginning Marius has been playing in various private parties and small clubs. The beginning was not easy, exactly like for all young DJs. He was a hard worker. However that long toil helped for hes distant, professional DJ’s career. He had made perfect mix technique, choice of musical composition. He developed musician value.
The genuine work for Marius Ivanoff has started when he began work together with Dj Mindaugelis in 1998. From then Marius and Mindaugelis sets “back to back” were fascinating clubbers in Lithuania and year by year they have got more and more fans.
Till 2001 Marius and Mindaugelis was interested only in music and Dj’ing, sometimes organized small parties. At that time they saw, that clearly understands what is needed for progressive music lovers and they was immersed in events organizing.
In 2001 the most famous Lithuania’ DJs Marius Ivanoff and Mindaugelis have founded an event organizing agency „Pure Production“, which in the beginning mostly was organizing events with little stars from abroad. After some time small, but frequent events in different towns gave it’s huge results. The events with little stars from abroad became popular, demand of this kind events turned up in Lithuania, which had never been before. The only problem was people’ purchasing power, lack of contacts with foreign agencies and absence of supporters – what didn’t let to organize a really high level, worldwide dance music events.
Everything had changed in 2003, when Marius Ivanoff and Mindaugelis with companies “Nokia” first time in Lithuania big worldwide brand connected with dance music. Dance music brand created together “Nokia Plug-in” became a determinant in Lithuania’ house music culture. It raised house and progressive music to TOP of popularity. In 2003 nine “Nokia Plug-in”. More than 15 000 people came to the nine “Nokia Plug-in” events and in 2004 was founded a new concept – massive events in “Litexpo” palace of exhibition that had no analogue in Lithuania. In 2004 “Litexpo” palace of exhibition 3 times became the biggest club in Lithuania and to club music lovers gave many stars first time seen in Lithuania.
Nokia plug-in was the biggest, but not only project accomplished these years – Pure Production was organizing from 4 to 8 events every month with foreign DJs not only in Lithuania, but also in Russia and in Belarus.
A dream of DJs was carried out in 2004 – together with partners they have founded one of the most popular clubs “Global”, where they fully realize their musical and creative ideas.
In 2005 “Pure Production” has started active work in Riga – the biggest caliber DJ’s – X-press 2, Steve Lawler had been taken to Latvia.
Big amount of events didn’t and doesn’t hinder for Marius to combine promoter and DJ work – without often performances in Lithuania’ scenes, they makes performances in all Europe – in Ibiza, Latvia , Holland, Belgium, Poland and many other countries.
Marius Ivanoff is not only organizing events and making performances that gather crowds of people, but also taking part in radio activity from 1999. He produced few music broadcasts in local and republic radio stations. He is an author of the most popular dance music broadcast “Nokia Plug-in music” and long time was its producer. Now they are residents on famous Lithuanian radio station ZIP FM weekly radio show “Sobieski Uogos On Air”.
Marius Ivanoff agency “Pure Production” has already been organizing Renaissance world tour events and is exceptionally the only representative of this label.
Especially successful 4 year work was wreathed in 2005 by making a big “Pure Future” music festival – huge events, that had gathered 13 000 dance music lovers from all Baltic States. The first event of “Pure Future” festival took place in the most famous Lithuania castle in Trakai together with Stephan K and Luis Paris. The second part of the festival – 9 of September wreathed a permanent hard work – at last was fulfilled an old dream, the best dj – Dj Sasha was taken to Lithuania.
Dj Sasha get back in 2006 – Marius Ivanoff booked him one more time – to Pure Future Trakai Castle 2006 festival.
In year 2006, they was initiators and members of the Baltic Country’s successful project one Love Parade – on the worldwide voting they took 2 place!
Through they career Marius and Mindaugelis has become a multiple winners in DJ competitions, 7 times became the best Lithuanian DJs.
We can bravely say that permanent work was not useless and is well valuated by those, whom it was dedicated – people who love dance music. The proof is that all tickets to Pure Production organized events are being sold with lightning speed and solo performances of Marius Ivanoff and Mindaugelis gather crowds of people in Latvia and Lithuania.
