"The music of New York-based singer/songwriter Mark Bacino is steeped
in the sparkly, head-bobbing melodicism of classic mid-'60s pop. To date,
he has yet to release a song that hit the three-minute mark..." -
Rolling Stone.com
"Bacino is a trad-pop wonderboy whose '60s-inspired tunes need to be
heard..." - TimeOut NY
"Mark Bacino, whose tunes point both to mid-'60s singles bands and
later three-minute stars like Elvis Costello..." - TimeOut NY
"Mark Bacino performing his new CD, The Million Dollar Milkshake,
with its marriage of T-Rex-meets-Raspberries sound. A very pure-pop for
now people kinda effort." - Village Voice
When singer/songwriter/producer Mark Bacino's mother revealed to him that he was conceived to the strains of the Partridge Family's "I Think I Love You," the pop songwriter's lifelong obsession with sing-along choruses, big vocal harmonies and star-spangled jumpsuits was explained.
"Steeped in the sparkly, head-bobbing melodicism of classic mid-'60s pop," wrote Rolling Stone of his first effort, Mark Bacino "has yet to release a song that hits the three-minute mark." How cool is that?
'The Million Dollar Milkshake' is the latest from the man Time Out! New York dubbed Manhattan's "trad-pop wonderboy" when his small masterpiece 'Pop Job the long player!' hit the sidewalks in 1999. With new songs like "All I Want" and "How About Always," Bacino's new CD does not disappoint those listeners who reveled in the chimey guitars, swinger beats and shameless optimism of his debut.
As a producer, Mark, who writes, arranges, plays guitar/drums/keys/bass and sings has been busy of late collaborating with, amongst others, famed writer/producers Peter Zizzo and Marc Swersky.
Ongoing Mark continues to deftly split his time between producing music for himself and others, TV/Film composing work and writing/performing all while pursuing his personal quest for the perfect hook.

I wanted to invite you to weigh in on the Great Debate!
As I'm starting to get things going for this year's Sounds of Christmas broadcast, I asked on my latest blog about the preferences for Christmas trees - real or artificial!
I'd love to get your take! You can check it out, and offer up your two cents, right here:
Thanks for the add Mark. I've dug your music ever since the first time I heard "Inside" years ago. The song gives me Happy Feet everytime I listen to it. Thank you for sharing your voice and your songs with the world. Best wishes for a great 2008, Jeff.
Hey Mark, Hope I can catch your next gig, You should have that band "THE CLIFTON FOUNDATION" open up for you. That show would be bigger than the VH reunion tour.
As promised, or threatened, I claimed that I would include a Disco, yes, Disco, song on my guitar CD. There is now quick edit of the song. Get out your spandex, platform shoes, relearn the latin hustle.....dedicated to the Class of 1977. Your pal, Ronnie
