"Walking On Broadway," the long awaited debut solo record from Mark Kano, the lead singer of Athenaeum, is now available! This is the first collection of new songs written by Kano since Athenaeum's 2001 self-titled effort on Atlantic Records. The self-produced eight song disc was mixed by Gavin MacKillop (Toad The Wet Sprocket, Goo Goo Dolls, Athenaeum) and recorded at various studios throughout 2008 with the help of fellow musicians Nic Brown, Snuzz, Mike Garrigan and Sam Frazier, and features Kano's best songs to date. "Walking On Broadway" picks up where we last left Athenaeum, a band that helped create a brand of authentic pop rock that continues to live somewhere just outside the radar of mainstream music.
