A young man finds himself caught up in a world of intrigue when he discovers an amazing secret. He sets out to change the world in this warm character driven plot featuring romance, colorful chase scenes, and good old fashioned greed and corruption.

Influences

There are so many great musicians out there. My all time favorite guitarist is Joe Pass followed by Steve Giordano of Philadelphia, George Benson, Pat Martino, Johnny Smith, Alex DiGrassi, Michael Hedges, Ralph Towner to name a few. Singers I am influenced by are Elvis (odd yes but he is definitely in there), Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Al Jarreau, Bobby Caldwell

I am also deeply influenced by the philosophy of New Thought, Kabbalah, Tarot, Zen, Patanjali. All of these tend to filter the songs I write. You write what you are.

The night winds carry sounds softly as if by design. There in the muted light of a crescent moon I begin to play. At first the chords find nowhere to bounce off. The silence does not echo their reply.

Then a single chirp above it all high and cheerful unexpected at once and then as it becomes familiar it blends with the music. Now I can feel each creature tuning in to listen almost as if this single night singer has made it okay for everyone around to be not only a part of the audience but also a part of the performance.

Sounds LikeAl Jarreau, George Benson, Seal, James Taylor

If the stars had eyes they would be yours,
If the moon were a jewel it would be on your finger set inside a golden circle
If the sun could sing it would sing for you.
And if the night could remember it would remember your smile.

“Have you ever seen the wind?” The sun asked the moon one day.

“Funny now that you mention it no,” The moon answered during one of those times when both the sun and the moon were in the sky together.

“Yet we see that the trees sway and dust moves across the desert,” The sun beamed her way as the moon blushed accordingly.

“Perhaps because we can see its effects we don’t worry about seeing the cause per se,” The moon in quarter phase winked at the sun as it the moon was setting for the day.

“We’ll talk off camera then. I think you are right by the way,” The sun spoke beaming its love as the moon winked out of earth sight during the suns day.

Their off camera discussions are most enlightening but are closed to earthbound reporters. Go figure!

   About Mark Siet
..

Love is an amazing thing. It asks for nothing and yet it gives everything.

You have to let go in order to experience it and give it from a place where you have no idea where it is coming from.

It is the ultimate gift of faith because unless you believe in love it cannot be experienced and once you let go of love it returns to you as if it were always there your life.

There is so much to love and the source of that love is limitless. .

Through my music and my writings I want to encourage everyone to go for their dreams and to realize that all it takes is a solid intention to do so and the rest will flow inevitably like those waves endlessly lap our golden shores.

Choose my music to purchase and download and support this vision I have of healing the world which you'll read about below.

Look for links below where you can purchase our CD One Shining Star, or my latest release DEEPER MEANINGS.

You may download songs or purchase DEEPER MEANINGS directly from ITUNES

I've been a musician all of my life except before the age of ten I thought I was a baseball player, a pilot, a high flying trapeze artist, a sword fighter, an adventurer, an army man; in short all of those things kids dream of after going to the Saturday afternoon matinees.

None of those stuck but playing the guitar sure did. What a passion I've always had for the guitar and for singing.

I played professionally during the Seventies and early eighties between NYC and Philadelphia. All during this time I wrote songs but never performed them live. It wasn't until much later beginning in 1995 that my wife JJ (harmonica) and I spent the next seven years playing coffee houses as the band JJ Slim on the left coast between LA and San Diego. Every song I played was an original tune. Out this incredible time we produced a CD ONE SHINING STAR

Each moment creates for itself the exact purpose for which it was intended.

Happy weekend

With the good comes the bad
the happy the sad
With the end there was a beginning
With losing the winning
smiling and tears
hopes and fears
Through times of doubt
you can sort things out
to pass the test
just try your best
life's a journey
succeed in the quest

Dear Mark

Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense, everything that comes from love is a miracle. - A Course in Miracles

Hiiii Dearest!!

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER . . .

by Erma Bombeck

I would have gone to bed when I was sick

instead of pretending the earth would go into

a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like

a rose before it melted in storage. I would have

talked less and listened more. I would have invited

friends over to dinner even if the carpet was

stained or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the

popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried

much less about the dirt when someone wanted

to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the

time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would never have insisted the car windows be

rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just

been teased and sprayed. I would have sat on the

lawn with my children and not worried about

grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less

while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because

it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed

to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months

of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and

realized that the wonderment growing inside me was

the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never

have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."

There would have been more . . .

"I love you's." More "I'm sorry's."

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize

every minute, look at it and really see it , live it and

never give it back.

Wishing you a Blissful and Blessed Week!

Bight S M I L E S . . .

I hope you've been well. Things have been hectic but I want to catch up with anyone. I'm going to be stopping by blogs for the next few days. If there is anything specific you'd like me to read please post a link in my comments. Thanks guys - sorry for being M.I.A.

Pills

Alone and laid to rest is just a saying
As rest is never quite achieved
And loneliness is impossible when doubts chatter constantly

She wonders if she took her pills today
Then remembers that in her encapsulated state
Medication is no longer prescribed
And pharmacies aren’t open this far underground

The Doctors wished her well or so she thought
As she waved goodbye and walked out of their offices
Holding signed papers that promised mental stability
While delivering only a sense of such an achievement

The final straw was sucked too dry
To chase the gifts the papers offered

The bottles laid empty upon the floor
Next to a body that only seemed to have stopped breathing

They found her too many days later
Photos, ids and boxes of memories surrounded
Yet it seemed no one could identify her remains

She lays buried amongst soldiers killed in battle
Underneath a tombstone that simply says “unknown”

And wonders if she took her pills yet today
