Everything you're listening to on here has been performed by me or my computer but I could do with putting this across live. I reckon I need a CELLIST, a DRUMMER, a BASS GUITARIST, possibly another GUITARIST and maybe some KEYS.
Influences
Anything that's not fake. Anything drenched in melody. Anything dark. Ok, here's a few to get you started: Ryan Adams, Nick Drake, Fleet Foxes, The Beach Boys, Tom McRae, Pink Floyd... You know the score.
Another new start, this time in the beautiful city of York, this time it's going to work out and this time I mean it. I still need a backing band and thankfully, still WANT a backing band. The songs keep coming and the ideas are still rebounding round my head so stay tuned to see where we go from here.
"MARTIN DOESN'T SHY AWAY FROM THE DARK AND MELANCHOLIC BUT IS NEVER VERY FAR FROM THE MELODIC. HE HAS THE LOOKS, THE SONGS, THE VOICE AND THE TUNES TO GO PLACES"
Rob Nichols, Middlesbrough Evening Gazette
"FANTASTIC, THE GUY IS A GENIUS... EVELYN, I THINK IS ONE OF THE BEST TRACKS I'VE HEARD IN A LONG, LONG TIME..."
Alan Raw, Raw Talent, BBC Radio Humberside
Below is a live recording of a tune called 'Tasted Blood' if you fancy a listen?
