Of course there are a number of artists that I love that I haven't listed here, but there is such a thing as too much information...wouldn't you agree? | | Movies | I am a Movie Freak! But again, my interests are scattered all over the place. I love directors like: Ridley Scott, Tony Scott (if only for the visuals in The Hunger), Akira Kurosawa, The Pang Brothers (have you seen The Eye? Wow!), John Frankenheimer (Ronin-a bloody brilliant film. Oh yeah, I guess Manchurian Candidate and Birdman of Alcatraz were pretty good too), Tim Burton (minus Planet of the Apes), Jim Jarmusch, Jean Cocteau, Sergio Leone, Raoul Walsh (made it Ma...top of the World!), Michael Curtiz (Angels with Dirty Faces), Quentin Tarantino (his visuals are starting to be as good as his dialogue), Luc Besson, oh and who can forget Mr. Russ Meyer! (God bless you Kitten Natividad...wherever you are).
Ya know what, this could go on forever, so I'm just gonna end it now.
| | Television | To say I despise Reality Shows would be an insult to all other things despicable! As there is nothing else on except Reality Shows, I pretty much hate television at the moment.
| | Books | Another ridiculously long list that would include authors like: Martin Amis (the best living writer today!), Vladimir Nabokov, Marie-Claire Blais (La Belle Bete), Emily (not Charlotte or Anne)Bronte, Robert E Howard (the King of the Pulps), Mickey Spillane (Yeah, that's right...Mickey Spillane, try reading him sometime...you might be pleasantly suprised), Elissa Wald, Georges Batailles, the M De S, Anais Nin, Anne Marie MacDonald (already better than Atwood), Roald Dahl (his adult stuff is very funny), Phillip Ridley, Neil Jordan...etc...etc...ad nauseum.
