Máté was born on 13th May, 1989 in Budapest, Hungary. He was interested in music already in his early years, but during his residence in Germany music did not have considerable role in Máté's life. Due to this fact he was already thirteen when he picked up a guitar for the very first time in his life. That time he already lived in Miskolc town (North Hungary) and was impressed by Brian May, the guitarist of Queen, and later on by Scorpions. He practiced very hard until he became acquainted with the music of Yngwie J. Malmsteen by his guitar teacher of that time named István Alapi. After this moment practicing turned to be a matter of fanaticism.
Máté started playing in bands pretty soon, and he already had several live performances when - as a solo guitarist - he joined a local band named Donor. They played a bunch of gigs and were supporting acts of several leading Hungarian rock bands (P. Mobil, Bikini, Kalapács etc.), moreover they recorded eleven songs for a full-length album, but unfortunately the CD entitled "Nothing Lost Yet" has never been released. This time Máté entered for a local guitar contest named "Guitar Duel", and became the winner...
After the contest Máté discovered new guitar heroes for himself, namely Michael Romeo and Theodore Ziras. Next year he was already an invited performer on "Guitar Duel 2007", and played together with such Hungarian guitarists as the internationally respected artist Tamás Szekeres, Viktor Magasvári and Károly Spirkó. Máté established an instrumental neo-classical rock band named "Lost Symphony" especially for this guitar event. Up to now the formation turned to be a permanent band and the guys recorded a three-track promotional demo entitled "Instrumental Institution".
In summer of 2007 Theodore Ziras announced an on-line guitar contest that Máté entered and won the first prize. After the event Theodore and Máté regularly sent e-mails to each other and finally the Greek guitarist invited Máté to play a gig together with him and the Swedish guitarist named Mattias Eklundh in Athens. This concert was in February 2008.
At present besides rock music Máté is involved in acoustic and electronic music as well. He is permanently touring with his bands - Lost Symphony, Mytra and Overload - all around Hungary.
Now, he got the partial Yamaha Guitar Scholarship to The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance for the Higher Diploma course in London U.K.
