There aren’t that many award winning 21 year olds out there who’ve been gigging for over 7 years, have two albums out, a third in the pipeline, play up to five gigs a week and have a massive following but that’s the case for Matt Gresham, Perth’s favourite upcoming blues, roots and reggae artist.
Currently recording his second studio album due for release at The Fly By Night on 12th December this year Matt has had recent major successes at Fairbridge, Nannup and Nanga Festivals and is regularly selling out home town gigs. His first east coast show in Melbourne earlier this year was a huge success and he's also been killing it in Broome over the season at Diver's Tavern.
Pulling from influences which stretch back over the past half century Matt has a truly individual original sound with a positive message. He has a joyful, infectious and exuberant style which floats his audiences from soul to the packed dance floor. Spine-tingling vocals soar above Matt’s band which combines bass guitar, percussion and drums to intensify the dynamic feel of the catchy melodies and driving rhythms.
