So, I'm not technically a band or musician or anything, but here are the band details just to keep up appearances: I started playing guitar as part of a elaborate joke years ago. Although I failed to develop as an artist, yet I write a song or two here and there out of habit and vain caprice. When I write songs these days, I only write about the bridges of Pittsburgh for some reason (a subject sadly encountered rarely in the pop repertoire). I have not played a show since the spring of 2007 for reasons having nothing to do with terrorism. In fact, in general I have nothing to do with terrorism.
On a personal note (and I have a music myspace account primarily so I don't have to deal with personal notes), my faith is Eastern Orthodoxy, my current profession is software engineering, my political views are occasionally radical, sometimes reactionary, but usually uninspired, "my blessings are a decent set of paperbacks, / a Gideon King James, / and 14,000 pages of unwritten autobiography."
This is what the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had to say about my poetry: "He is in love with ornate words." I mean, really. That's such a jejune accusation that it defies credulity...
do you want to do something around christmas in franklin? my friend has a coffee shop and i'm sure we could get in there. heck. we could do it anytime, really. thoughts?
hey sorry that i didn't get back to you sooner - i'm sure that you're on your way out of town by now. next time i won't flake out so that we can brood together!
well, i don't know of anything going on in MD tomorrow night. i'm gonna be around DC if you're gonna be around there sometime this weekend. where in VA will you be?
nah, it was okay. i was pretty anti-social but i spoke to everyone that i needed to and some that i didn't ;-) anyways, how was brooklyn? are you done with the brooding?
i like the new song a lot. brings back memories of the good old days. you know? like the indie fest this summer. using your computer as if it were a theramin is very cutting edge. what program did you end up using?
will do! and i'm jealous of your brooklyn jaunt... i'm smitten with nyc and brooklyn. well, hopefully i'll catch up with you at some point. have a good trip!
Hello Matt I'll be seeing in person in a couple of weeks and I hear that the Penn Brewery well be celebrating October Fest. Also love the song and the Cruelest Game picture.
i know - doesn't it just suck! so are you making an appearance at the reunion this weekend? i'll be there, but i'm not sure how much i'll enjoy this...
matt reed my dear old friend. how is life? my life moves ever forward...or at least that's my guess. it may have stalled out somewhere along the line...i haven't felt the pot holes in a while...
