Like the Kings of Leon crossed with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs then run through a The Killers filter. A tightly wound modern indie rock sound with pop hooks, heavy synths, and addictive rhythms.
With his first album release “Never Ending Aftermath” hitting college radio 2008, Matt Powers made his presence known on the Indie Rock scene immediately. Recorded with Oliver Strauss of Mission Sound (Taking Back Sunday, All-American Rejects) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and recorded 11 tunes in 10 days (including mixing!).
After 2 years, Matt is solo again. PEOPLE, former LA space punk band, dissolved Fall 2009. Matt had his first tour Summer 2009 with much success at Dfest. Matt's hard at work on new music to give away free.

every soldier deployed in the field, we need 100s of people in the states working to create weapons, bombs, transportation, guns, communication devices, business people, strategists, & many others. there is a reason so many of these firms are spread around the states. they can manipulate their local senates for creating their jobs in their states. if the wars end, they will close shops, & lay ppl off. the war business is so complicated that makes my head spin.

I'm sure you'll get something together. I'm just starting a band -- THE WILD. I write rock musicals, and I wanna get some of the music made.
