MA VALISE created a proper musical style beyond frontiers, inbetween world music and rock. The musicians who grew up as close freinds and who discovered music at the same time grab musical influences out of many different cultures and put them together to form a very warm travelling music. Gipsy dances, french alternative scene, dub, hip hop, cumbia…
They take inspirations everywhere and blend them with the energy of the rock’n roll the grew up listening to.
Always willing to meet new people, to share musical moments with other bands, Ma Valise is determined to play everywhere in France and further on if possible. This is also why the members of the band are deeply involved in many projects in association with lots of people : They set up big tops, they take part in the organisation of festivals mixing puppets, music, video and art decoration… This is a real way of life for them that they manage to traduce in their songs and this is also a way to escape from the musical routine : rehersals/road/shows/hotel… Ma Valise is more than a band and they spread their positive energy everywhere they go !
Le groupe MA VALISE s’invente un style « sans frontières » entre chanson, rock et musiques du monde. Ces musiciens qui ont tout appris ensemble piochent dans de nombreuses cultures qui fraternisent dans un son chaleureux et voyageur : danses populaires et tziganes d’Europe de l’Est, scène française, Dub, Hip Hop, cumbia... Chanteurs polyglottes (français, roumain, espagnol, anglais, créole), ils s’inspirent de musiques balkaniques, latines et autres métissages, animés par l’énergie du rock alternatif qui a bercé leur adolescence.
Ce groupe fondé en 1999 a plus de 500 concerts à son actif. C’est bien la vibration de la scène qui stimule leur évolution depuis le début. Après une cinqantaine de dates à l’étranger (Allemagne, Bosnie, London et Maroc), l’envie de s’exporter est toujours plus grande : une troisième tournée de 30 concerts en Allemagne aura lieu du 28 avril au 31 mai 2008 et d’autres étapes sont prévues prochainement…
Le nouvel album "MAYA YÉ" est sorti le 13 novembre dernier !
