MAX CADY
"...Fans of the Pixies, The Strokes, White Stripes and Queens of The Stone Age will dig these tracks." - Lit Monthly
"...equal parts AC/DC, Burning Brides and Kix with sprinkles of Rollins Band and Ramones" - Dallas Morning News
"..."Akin to Southern Cal's Fu Manchu" - Dallas Observer
"...like AC/DC with a vaster imagination" - F5 Wichita
"...a more organic queens of the stone age..." - ENVY MAGAZINE
The rock-n-roll revival has begun and MAX CADY has risen from the dead. Turns out he’s alive, well, living in the Lone Star state, and inhabiting the bodies of singer-guitarist Justin Moore, bassist Pablo Xiques, drummer Nathan Leininger, and guitarist Jeff Biehler.
Formed in March 2003 after splitting off from other prominent Dallas bands, MAX CADY has come to ROCK. “In the beginning, we set out to play loud, fast, Gibson guitar through Marshall half stack, turned up to 11 rock-n-roll…. and that’s exactly what we’re doing... and will continue to do." says singer-guitarist Justin Moore.
MAX CADY’s high-energy, hit ‘em hard, bleeding-one-song-into-another philosophy during their live set has fans pumping their fists, raising their devil horns and begging for more. In addition, MAX CADY’s punk rock ethics and DIY attitude has earned them several local accolades including: A primary support slot for the first ever Toadies reunion show at the 2006 Dallas Observer / 102.1 The Edge St. Patrick's Day parade, a primary support slot for rock legends Blue Oyster Cult at the sold-out 93.3 The Bone Birthday Bash, a performance at the Sportsradio 1310 AM The Ticket's Ticketstock 2005, after taking home the grand prize in a metroplex-wide battle of the bands, a Spot on the Kevin Says, Hop Topic Stage at the Vans Warped Tour in 2005, a nomination for The Dallas Observer Awards for “Best Hard Rock Band”, and finally, the inclusion of the title track from their debut record, “Tonight Alive” in the feature film, The Night of the White Pants.
At home and on the road, MAX CADY is honored to have shared the stage with: Andrew WK, The Riverboat Gamblers, Blue Oyster Cult, Nashville Pussy, Fu Manchu, Local H, The Breeders, Vendetta Red, Danko Jones, The Fags, The Queers, LA Guns, Lou Barlow, Supagroup, Valient Thorr, Har Mar Superstar, Burning Brides, Throw Rag, Vaux, Toadies, Hagfish, Burden Brothers, Baboon, Vallejo, Broken Teeth, Speedealer, Honky, and The Circle Jerks.
In January of 2005, MAX CADY released their debut album, Tonight Alive, on singer-guitarist Justin Moore's upstart label Sidearm Entertainment. Tonight Alive was recorded at Last Beat Studios in Dallas, TX, with engineer/co-producer Paul Williams (Polyphonic Spree, Flickerstick, Burden Brothers).
MAX CADY is currently playing shows in support of their sophomore release, Gun Crime which was recorded in Farmer's Branch, TX at Artisan Studios with co-producer and engineer Paul Williams and was released in October 2007.
