Matthew Barber is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter, recording-artist, drummer, producer and goalie. He has released records on labels such as Paper Bag Records, Warner Music Canada, Rounder Europe, Code One in Australia and Outside Music in Canada and the U.S. His latest release entitled True Believer was produced by Howie Beck and is available in stores across Canada through Outside Music on Feb.23rd. It will be available digitally worldwide through iTunes and other fine online stores. Matthew's previous full-length Ghost Notes was a critical hit in Canada and nominated for a 2009 Juno award. It was released in the U.S. on Outside through Red Eye distribution and through Code One in Australia, and is also available digitally worldwide. In addition to touring the world and releasing records, Matthew recently composed the music for an original theatrical production entitled Haunted Hillbilly which completed a 2-week run in December '09 in Montreal.
