I am a listener of all types of music. But when it comes to the culture of Hip Hop, a lot people tend to ask me what do i think the state of Hip Hop is in. Sometimes i think they expect me to say it's bad. I feel that as a MC you are reppin the culture. Rap music in the Hip Hop culture was built on having diversity, being diversified or being different than the next man or female. However, radio stations and media should afford all types of songs to be played to allow consumers to have a balance. So i say to you as MC's. Step your game up. Do you. But remember, while you are doing you... MC's/rapper's comes and goes. Take control of your own destiny. But do not loose your soul trying to do so.

I am going to keep this thang short. Young SHA-ROCK use to live in the Bronx, but then move to Harlem USA. And that is where it started for me. I was introduced to artist's such as James Brown, Nickki Giovanni and Sylvia to name a few. To all you older cats who may know who Sylvia is , but to all the young cats , let me break it down to you... She is CEO of Sugar Hill Records. The same record label that is still trying to rob me of my royalty checks after 25 years. Aint that a bitch. Anyway I moved back to the Bronx. Back in the 70's i use to sneak out of the house to go to Kool Herc's parties who is the Father of Hip Hop. He had no Female MC'S at that time. So there was no one to set standards for me. I became a b/girl. I waited just like the fella's did for that certain break beat of James Brown's Sex Machine to began to hit the floor. I then became the 1st Pioneer Female Luminary MC ever to set the standards for any other female that came after me..
