Information:
First of all, MCtumor Promotions is NOT a band, this is only a temporary site until I finish my official website. This is run by the singer of the Experimental Metalcore band Stryk Nine (www.myspace.com/stryknine), my name is Matt Colon. It has become a part time business just recently in 2005. What I Do:
MCtumor Promotions specializes in booking and promoting Metal music in the MA/RI area. I have been booking shows for over 6 years now and has become exceedingly good at getting contacts and connections with clubs, bands, labels, & other promoters. I haved booked shows for hundreds of bands in many clubs in the area, and books for certain clubs on an annual monthly basis. What I am pretty much trying to accomplish overall is great promotion for the metal scene of massachusetts. I start you off by getting you a smaller show, and if you do well, I get you a bigger show, including payment, and so on. In return for getting you a show, I expect decent turnouts for your performance as well as show swapping for Stryk Nine. I am also here to develop relationships. With all the people I have met and befriended just in the area, I have been able to set up shows with great bands with hundreds of people showing up to each gig. I started this company to help everybody and hope you will help myself and others in return.
Stats:
Matt Colon studies Music Business and Audio Production at the USA renound New England Institute of Art in Brookline, MA. There he has studied with people like Ken Cmar from "Wonderdrug Records" and Dave Leftkowitz from "Renaissance Records". Over 8 years Matt has booked over 100 shows all over New England, and has worked with hundreds of bands from New England as well. He also interns and books at an up and coming studio called Saucer Sound in Norton, MA (www.saucersound.com).
