The album is now completed and here we have happy guys with the result. The studio time was a great experience, and the result sounds great. We received the mastered album from Universal Mastering Studios New York last week and are really pleased with the final sound. This one turned out to be really a powerful album, so be careful not to fall off your chair when you listen to it. I (Mikko) was extremely happy to be able to share a cool guitar/synth duel with Olli our second guitar player in the song A Block Of Wood (reminds me of the good old times..). Hopefully you will enjoy listening this album as much as we enjoyed making it. The audience is listening...

The production of the second album is almost done. We spent the last month at the relaxing atmosphere of Drumforest studios dfs.fi mixing the album, and the result sounds awesome. Nikke, the CEO of the studios cooked once again some delicious pizzas, and we shared some extra cool moments at the lake trying to get that Big fish... We will upload here some new photos from the studio.
The 2nd album will be called "THE EMINENT STORM". We're currently negotiating with some labels about the release of the album. We will inform you as soon as we have the release dates.

- GREETINGS FROM THE STUDIO.
We have been working now for almost 3 months to complete our follow up album, which name will soon be revealed. The second album will be even more powerful with strong melodic songs and musically interesting solutions. The top class production is also guaranteed. Rhythm guitars were done at Fear & Loathing (Meshuggah/Clawfinger) studio with the Clawfinger mastermind Jocke Skog, so you can expect a full throttle monster guitar sound. Thomas also made one of a kind vocaltracks for the album, so be aware. :) (I think he said somewhere that this has been the most challenging album that he has ever recorded). We also added a second guitar player to our line up, so there's even more space for cool guitar licks and guitar - synth duels. Keep checking out the pages for news and pics etc. We have some gigs also coming up during this year, so remember to check out Mehida.

We're currently in the studio working with new material. So far we have done the basic trackings for four new songs. The good news for everybody who liked the "Blood & Water" -album are that there will be a follow up -album coming out probably during next year or so. About Mehida:
Out from the finnish music field rises Mehida. After several years of struggling with his musical vision, the keyboard player Mikko Harkin decided to leave his previous band Wingdom to finally accomplish the sight and sound he had been looking after for many years.
Musically the band is concentrated on bringing out the musical extremities, from difficult rhythmic sequences to unexpected modern melodic lines still keeping it all catchy and easy to listen to. The album "Blood & Water" is a reflection of creativism which flows out from the contribution of these talented rockers.
The band's stylistic scale is wide. It flows from the mathematical metal attitude prog to deep dark beautiful ballads. Raging guitars and the strong expression of the singer Thomas Vikström (ex- Candlemass) form the missing link in between the ambient synth atmospheres and precise rhytmic sects.
The album "Blood & Water" was recorded and mixed at the famous Fantom Studio, co-produced and mixed by Samu Oittinen (Diablo, Silentium etc.) On the album Mehida presents over fifty minutes of energetic modern metal. The enthusiasm towards music combined with unique creativity makes Mehida a rocksolid band.

DREAMSCAPE (progressive metal from germany) new cd april 2010!
After 2/3 years of producing/recording our album, We can finally say its happening! We are right now waiting for the pressing plant to deliver the material (2 to 3 weeks)!!!
We are more than happy with the outcome! Right now we have uploaded 2 songs on our myspace ( which is also brand new ).
