    MeloManics’ debut full length album “The Grey Light” was released in 2007, after they made quite a name for themselves in venues all over the Netherlands, as an exuberant live act. Mixing electronic beats and eighties synths with fierce guiar riffs and live drums. Boosted into new directions by their peers who contributed to the 2008 “Remixed” album, MeloManics took their live show to the next level, actually performing the remixes live on stage, hitting all major dutch venues and festivals. From early 2009 on, Jeroen Joosten, Guido Schuurman and Hans Groen, who by then had replaced original drummer Ben Olgers, started working on new material for the second album. In the meantime three new songs were released as a promo only EP, “Spices”, together with the video for the title track made by belgian artist Stan van Steendam. Towards the end of 2009 recordings for the album started and MeloManics joined the Greatest Rock and Rave Circus tour, alongside Joost van Bellen, Aux Raus and Boemklatsch! Also MeloManics delivered one track to accompany the launching of Absolut Vodka’s Rock Edition campaign. Early 2010, founding member Jeroen Joosten decided to leave MeloManics. With the new album already in early stage of mixing, the two remaining members decided to finish the album with Joosten performing mixing duties still, whilst performing as a fearsome twosome from june 2010 on. The 11 track fruit of their labour, MeloManisM, will be released on Black Label records early 2011. MeloManisM is a more popsong-based exclamation of modern disco and trademark rock ‘n tronics.
