The University Day at the Zoo promotes "It's never to early to think about college" to our littles. All the universities, food, fun, & awards made this very touching. Thank you to everyone who came through. I know your eager to see some of the photos. The entire event was a huge success with close to a thousand in attendance. An Atlanta native, Merc's devotion to hip-hop was sparked by his early childhood experiences in Decatur. From the time he began crafting his own rhymes at the age of eleven, a relentless passion has propelled him over the years from various talent shows to countless battles. Merc has either won or placed in almost every competition he's entered including; Vh1 Freestyle 59, Breaklanta, Mic Club, MC WAR, HHE, Mic Aggression, and Source Unsigned Hype Atlanta.
As much as battling has become a reflection of Mercury Storm, so have his songs. Social consciousness, metaphors, and punch lines are only a few of the key ingredients woven into his wordplay.
Mercury Storm, aka N-Sight, is an Eagle Scout and has been an active volunteer around Atlanta throughout his life. Being involved in the community as a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program offers him the chance to be able to “give something back.”
In 2004, Merc created the Atlanta Poetry Guild, an outlet for local poets and lyricists to be heard. Not to be limited to writing lyrics, Mercury is developing his first action/thriller book, “Brain Reaction.”
