In the new year nineteen past eight one
Loading bags after a lowered sun
Lights turn on illuminate the street
As I lean back and press kent on repeat
Pointed in the way of country fairs
Trying hard to soak in winter's air
Shirtless kid proving that he's no fool
At midway stops for drinks and a refuel
Step into the doors of the sinners meeting
Through a sea of heads and a back row seating
Are you okay? . . . Yeah, I'm fine
Locked in a view of girl upon my tip toes
Taking notes of the patterns drawn on her clothes
Falling deeper into dreamers death’s gray land
In the great hour of destiny I stand - siegfried sassoon "dreamers" (1918)
have you checked out the new venue downtown? "Live on 1st" is the name. they had their first show last night with Behold the Brave and Apple Trees and Tangerines. overall it was a great show and the venue's a really good size. the owners are nice too. you should look into getting some shows there man, haven't seen you play in awhile. then again i've been really busy with school, so that's probably the main reason.
