As a producer/engineer, his work with artists such as Scott Miller, Tim Krekel, Mark Germino, Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart has garnered many accolades over the years.
An avid rocker, Michael has been a part of many Nashville rock bands, most recently Fugitive Glue, which is comprised of several of his fellow session players and producers. He also plays mandolin and accordion in The New Nashvillains, a bluegrass/folk group comprised of Tom Mason, Mark Miller, and Knoxville great Brian Waldschlager.
He has been married for 17 years to his wife Anna, who publishes The Nashville Calendar. When they're not working, they stay busy raising two pot-bellied pigs, three dogs, and a cat.

Thank you old buddy! I'll never be able to order a breakfast burrito without warm and fuzzy recollections of that wonderful Monday jam-night at Douglas Corner......I feel so honored to have had a personal telling. Don't remember the story being quite so lengthy and... uh... exciting the last time I heard it. Almost like I was really there only in slow motion.
