Having the Michael Furlong Band for many years, Michael recorded his solo career hitting the charts in the 80's with Atlantic Records and his Hit Album, "Use it or Lose It" . In the 90's he transitioned to be a part of the Wild Dogs, Enigma Records heavy Metal Giants! He has also performed recently as a Tom Petty impersonator in Tribute Concerts. "Its a pleasure since eveyone always said I look like Petty and I just love his music!" His solo career on Atlantic Records in the 80's with his BillBoard Hit "Use it or Lose It" charted him in the top 100. Now Michael is currently on Tour in 2008 with the now reunited SUGARLOAF, the hit band of the 70's (of Green Eyed Lady fame !)with Jerry Corbetta, as their new Guitar Player. We are going to be hosting a battle of the bands. The winner will be determined by how many fans you bring. We are not competing in the battle we are just hosting it. We want to find out who the best bands in Las Vegas are. The winner gets 5000$, a three song demo that will be distributed on the internet and a 70/30 split on all tickets sold. There will also be a second and third prize winner. And it is an all ages show !!!! Our goal is to build the Las Vegas band scene to where we are all doing what we love and actually getting paid for the effort. The battle will begin in september. Entry deadline is July 8th so we can start all of the radio and internet promotions and make the flyers for all the bands that sign up. Also you will be put on a compalation Cd through vegas disc that will be distributed to over 200 radio stations across the US.
