Michael Munnik's music centres on his cheap acoustic guitar - the same one he used to patch through a distortion pedal and play drop-d punk tunes on all those years ago in Nanaimo, BC. The songs follow the time-justified tradition of strumming and singing. He draws inspiration from the places he has walked and lived - the coast of British Columbia, an ancient pilgrim trail in Spain, or a second-floor apartment looking onto rainy Bronson Avenue. He brings to his tunes the poet's love of beauty, the journalist's attention to the telling detail, the theologian's continual struggle to describe the ineffable.
Hey Mike; El tells me that you are having a CD release party Saturday. Sorry I won't be able to make it as a concert is keeping me in Montreal. Good luck and see you soon!

Thanks so much Mike! The Rhodes were Danny's idea, and very tasty indeed! Hope you're doing well. How are things going with your new record? Have you started tracking it? And what did you end up doing production wise? (Self/other?)
You there, release a new CD So I can buy and transfer it to my computer to listen in the car. (my Car Cd player doesn't like me.) I still listen to Long Shadows in the Afternoon a lot. Ohhh and I want to now, can you ship me some Canadian Currency? I need some type of money that will retain it's value. That way I will have money when you release the CD I have previously asked you to in the beginning of this long winded post. Plus a puppy. Possibly a German Shepard. Hope you are doing well.
Hi Michael, Yes I first met Oliver through his great fiddle tunes, which a friend of mine taught me how to play, and then later met him for real. He is a great inspiration to a lot of fiddle players I know.
I liked your comment for him and then decided to go hear your music. Great songs! Not your average by any means.
So, great to meet you. And thanks for the positive remarks.

I'm living in Winnipeg, but I'm actually in Ottawa for the week (here to do some research at Archives Canada). I even walked past Zaphod's yesterday, but I didn't notice you were playing. I've tried emailing Kevin, but to no avail. Perhaps he's not using the email address I have.
