Sounds Like
Michael Skinner. My friend Stephanie thinks I'm "A mix between Bob Dylan and The Doors".
Michael Skinner is a raw poetic rock experience.
His lyrics expose the depth of feeling appreciation for life's simple things at a time when a majority of us are struggling to feel grounded. Our society has lost it's focus on one person thinking as we've faced incredible challenges as a country and, as a world. Each person has struggled with what they want to do, and what they can actually do as one person in a pool of billions. Our push and pull battles between ourselves and our world has left many areas of gray.
Michael Skinner pierces those gray areas... the birthplace of things like faith, belief, and hope.
Hi Folks,
Well it's always interesting to read and hear someone else's perspective on you. The above paragraph was written by my good friend Stephanie who helped put this site together for me. I find that I am still a bit; 'computer challenged" - but that's okay. I write songs about life, love, loss, and hope, but even in the saddest of songs that I may write, I still see the good at the end of the day and try my level best to convey that. I chose "Songs For The Keys To Your Life" to be the opening song, but allowed Stephanie to pick the others. These are 4 songs that will be on my next album release - "Waitin' For A Train". If you would like to hear more songs, please visit my main website at www.mskinnermusic.com and you can hear several songs from my two albums, "Train of Tears" [1st release] and "Pirates". You can also purchase the cd's from the site.
If you visit the main website you will also see that I have another life as a public speaker, writer, educator, and musician who addresses the concerns of trauma, abuse, & mental health. This myspace site will be strictly for my musical endeavors. All the best and thank you for visiting!!! take care, Mike
each day we're given is a gift and we should embrace this gift of life and unwrap the opportunities waiting for us to find the possibilities that are there.
