Biography,
Michiel, or Michaël Andreas de Jong was born on April 25th, 1983 in Tiel, The Netherlands. Music has always been a very important part in Michiel’s life. His interest in dance music began in the late 90's, after being introduced to tracks from acts such as Cygnus X, Jean Michel Jarre, Samuel Barber, Vangelis, Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses.
Michiel studied Mechanical Engineering and moved to Rotterdam to start studying at SAE (School for Audio Engineering).
After his course he was offered a part-time job at 2 broadcasting stations and started broadcasting his weekly radio shows. The money he earned was invested in new studio equipment such as synthesizers, samplers, soundmodules and other studio facilities, providing broader sounds and better mixing possibilities. Since 2005 he is also working for the djschool / IDP - DMC Holland (known from the Technics - Dutch Dance Charts), providing several courses and services for dj's and producers, e.g. beat-mixing, producing & finalizing.
After 2 years of hard working and dedication, in 2007 a new recording studio was build, his next step forward in his musical development and mixing skills. Michiel..s first release, “In Place (Original Mix)” was released at Future State Records on 30-04-2007. In July Superstring Theory (Michiel de Jong Remix) got released, was featured on trackitdown and was well supported by many big names in the trance scene and is known to fans of club music all over the world. His next release; Ishido - Twentytwo (Michiel de Jong remix) will soon be released at Bonzai Music and yet, the best is still to come. He just finished 4 new productions (uplifting & tech trance) and is working on some guestmixes and his podcast for this summer!

Hi, Michiel de Jong Everything well? :) I’m here cos I’m searching for an eurodance singer, no matter if it’s male or female cos I’m planning a commercial dance track and, as you can guess, a singer in this style of music is essential. I wonder if you’d be interested or know about someone who can be interested, of course :) The other reason why I’m here is that I’m searching for remixers for my new techtrance tune ‘Give It A Try’. It will be released in Super 6 Records (Germany) and LAD Records (Portugal). I’m asking radio stations, listeners, etc for support and feedbacks too. Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcastday, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
