New (female) skaters, male and female refs, scorekeepers, volunteers, casual skaters, potential sponsors and anyone who fancies supporting MMR!
What does being part of MMR involve?
Skating! Natch! Whether you are a wheely good skater (sorry) or haven't had a go before, we can teach you how to play roller derby.
It's the sport for women who don't like sport usually, as it's so much fun it doesn't feel like exercise (swear down!)
If you don't fancy skating, we are also looking for (male and female) refs, scorekeepers and event volunteers...full training provided!
Want to come see what we do?
MMR are a friendly bunch who come from all over Teesside to play roller derby.
We go out on all sorts of team nights out for drinks, dancing and most importantly, parmos, and host events which have included (so far) band nights, frock exchanges, jelly wrestling and karaoke.
We hold two skate sessions a week and new people can come to any of them...8.30pm on Wednesdays at Eston Sports Academy and 1pm on Sundays at The Rainbow in Coulby Newham.
