In 2007 :Ikonen: media (Germany) published a postcard-collection by photo artists Birthe Klementow called ‘Circles’. The limited (10), cloth-bound and hand-numbered edition was accompanied by a black CDr e.p. featuring ambient tracks on the cycles of life and death, inspired by these photos. ‘Cycles’ (2009) is a completely reworked reincarnation of this exclusive collaborative project and features new artwork and remixes of the original songs. The Neo-folk outfit BLOODY WOODS from Sichuan, China has finally completed the first (maybe the last, too) full-length album. More percussion bits are added into the new album plus more dark and obscure Middle-east musical elements that give you a ritualistic feeling.
