Jamma has been playing the steelpan’s for the past 30 years, performed in many different parts of world,recorded a number of very interesting steelpan albums, with a wide range of diffent moods to suite all occations.
Mighty Jamma is also very well known for his song righting and singing performance, winning the 2001 Nottinghill Carnival Calypso Monarch with his own composition track called Ignorance has proved that Jamma masters root calypso’s as well as the fast Carnival tracks like Dancing and Bumcy Party,two of his big Carnival Hits.
Jamma is the founder/manager of The Birmingham School of Pan "institution for the development of pan in the UK. Jamma offers performance& workshops. as well as the Hearts Aglow Caribbean Dancers, who provide a great show with hot Caribbean dance routines, Carnival costumes and limbo dancing.So for your party it has to be The Mighty Jamma, with the Hearts Aglow Dancers bringing the true spirit of carnival to your venue
Jamma is the proud father of Lil J "Jamani stewart" who is simply taking the music to another level, Rapping and playing Jazz improvising Lil J got it, currently he is working on his first album, this album is a new vibrations of steelpan music, so keep tuned.I must also big up my precious daughter Rochella, who has built this site, & Angela my wife who has been with me all the way, & my Brother Barry "Mackadub" for great production work on the development of the Reggae Pan series, also Norman"Maestro" my brother who introduced me to pan.
