Bio: Mighty Shiny intermixes hook-filled anthems of romantic confusion and alcohol-soaked mornings-after with unabashed, shiny pop. They've played local venues past and present including the Skylark, The Blue Moon, The Sunset Tavern, the Re-Bar, EMP's Liquid Lounge, The Crocodile Cafe, Showbox, Graceland, and The Elysian, with bands such as KnotPineBox, The Catheters, Diamond Fist Werny, Gabe Mintz & The Stone Rangers, Toothpaste 2000 (now Mas Rapido), Bugs in Amber, Evil Little Men, Downpilot, Weary, and more. The band's first full-length, a shiny collection of eleven furious power-pop anthems, was recorded with Rhonda's former Crypt Kicker 5 bandmate Jack Endino at Private Radio and is available on this page.
Rhonda sang, wrote and played guitar in Seattle's Crypt Kicker 5 in her formative years, and has also played and organized solo shows of her own. Greg collaborates with Malkah Duprix in Mountain Kids Fantasy. He also does his own thang under the name Fullrotor, in addition to his duties as auteur of a very-occasionally-produced, recently-recussitated comicbook. Original bassist Chris Niccoli can be found at the helm of his own punk rock outfit, Chris Mess, singing, playing the guitar, and writing tunes. Neil Smith has a nice haircut.
