Mikael Weermets is a Swedish hard working producer from Gothenburg, Sweden, living out his childhood-dream to become a big superstar DJ and producer. The interest of making & creating electronic dancemusic has always been there, and has always been the main thing in his life. Spinning records started at an early age at numerous youth-events, before he started out in the Gothenburg clubscene at 2004, and has since then, been out giging at least 10 times a month.
Today, Mikael Weermets is one of the most well-known figures in the Gothenburg club scene, and around Sweden, playing various styles of electronic music, from minimal & electrohouse to experimental techno with influences from the old detroit-techno sound.
In 2007 he grabbed the award for best Swedish DJ in the Megamind.se competition for Nordics Most Popular DJ. He also reached the finals in the SMC (Scandinavian Music Convention) in 2007, competing against world stars like Eric Prydz, Axwell & Stonebridge.
In 2007 he was working for one of the biggest Radio-networks in Scandinavia, The Voice, working as a tour-DJ. Mikael moved on, and at the beginning of 2008 he signed on for the massive radiochannel ENERGY (NRJ), working as a resident-DJ for the "NRJ @ The Club" nightclub-tour, playing with some of the worlds most famous housemusic-producers. In the beginning of 2008 he was set to represent HED KANDI at the Sweden tour, playing with resident artists from HED KANDI..s label. As the year went on, Mikael finally signed for Ministry Of Sound, being a resident-DJ for the MOS DJ-tour.
Mikael has, despite his young age of 22 years, played along the sides of, and gained massive respect from world famous artists like :
David Guetta, Tiësto, Norman Doray, Axwell, Eric Prydz, Henrik B, Steve Angello, Justice, Stonebridge, Sebastian Ingrosso, Özgur Can, The Attic, Richard Grey, Phatzoo, Laidback Luke, Sandro Monte, John Dahlbäck, Yves Larock, Jonas Sellberg, Ali Payami, Dada Life, Style Of Eye, Syke N Sugarstarr, D.O.N.S, Morgan Page, Chris Lake, Albin Myers, Thomas Gold, Arno Cost & the list keeps growing.
Since late 2008, Mikael is running his own label : Rhythm Royal Recordings, a quality label who specialises in experimental deep, tech & minimalistic house. The label has brought gigantic name to its rooster after only one year, and its releases has been hitting the Beatport Top 100 over 20 times already! The support is massive for the releases, from the french superman Joachim Garraud, to the god Carl Cox, to the minimal king Ahmet Sendil, the list is growing every second, and the succes is a fact!

Aus der Elektoschmiede von Monkee Platez kommt der deepe und soundlastige Track „Envi“ von der Newcomerin Eisa Dore aus Hamburg. Der Track entwickelt eine durchgehende Monotonie und erzählt durch das Zusammenspiel des schlappenden (fast schon break) Beats mit minimal eingesetzten klängen eine eigens stilvolle Geschichte. Weitere Tracks auf der EP sind „Superfly” das superspacig daherkommt und Flächen, Melodien und rhythmische Elemente elegant kombiniert. „Blackstroke“ ist die dritte Nummer des Pakets und kreiert einen minimalen Film aus spannenden Sounds im technoiden Mantel. Der Remix zu „Backstroke“ kommt von Alex Fiction und fällt sehr loungig aber dennoch beatlastig aus. Genau die richtige Nummer um den Sommer an einem schönen Tag wippenden Fußes bei einem Cocktail ausklingen zu lassen.
