I live in Louisville Kentucky. I play acoustic and electric guitar, as well as lap steel and dobro. I've played with Dirt Poor Robins, Jamie Barnes, Bill Mallonee, Peter Searcy, Bryan Fox, Brooks Ritter and others. Done a little touring, done a lot of recording, and played a lot around town. I love just about any kind of music and enjoy being a "hired gun".
I am also the arts pastor at Sojourn Community Church, which runs the 930, an arts center in Germantown. We have a fantastic art gallery and music venue, and an amazing collection of musicians who are working together on the worship in the church.
I've produced five records - four for Sojourn and one for an artist named Chad Lewis. I've played guitar on quite a few demos for friends and acquaintences over the years.
I'm married to Sarah, we have a daughter named Dorothy (born August 2, 2007) and a dog Ginger.
Hey Mike, We often think of you guys and that weird dream-like memory of 2007 when we lived in Kentucky. What the??? Anyway, you're good people, and we liked you. Hope you and your ladies are doing well. Peace, Jim
a. The song I was talking about tonight is by Donna Fargo and is "You Can't Be A Beacon if Your Light Don't Shine."
b. it is truly a great song...I'm definitely thinking Jaimie Barnes on this one. And I looked her up on here and she does not have that song on her page....soooo I don't know where you can locate the song to listen to it, but I'm telling you, it's worth the search.
c. You did a great job tonight. I was convicted and encouraged, it was a beautiful thing.
