Mike Gibilisco is a freelance saxophonist and music educator in the Tampa Florida area. He holds a B.A. in music education from Southeastern University (Lakeland, Fl.), as well as, a Master degree in Jazz Performance from USF.
Mike has played an active role in the Tampa Bay area music scene for more almost 10 years. During that this he has played with many local bands and a few national acts. He has recorded with trumpeter Dan McMillion's big band, as well as, with the likes of George Carroll and Valerie Gillespie. Currently, Mike is the saxophonist/keyboardist/vocalist and Musical Director of a private event band called Mainstream (www.mainstreamband.net). Mainstream is a high end variety band that specializes in weddings, fundraisers and corporate parties.
Mike also has a proclivity for composition and arranging. His clientele of corporate bands and mega churches spans across the country, and includes Willow Creek Community Church (Chicago, Il.), Kensington Community Church (Detroit, Mi.) and Grace Family Church (Tampa, Fl.) just to name a few. Mike was recently invited to join the faculty of Jeff Berlin’s Players School of Music as an arranging instructor.
Mike has been married to his college sweat heart and best buddy Christy for 9 years. Mike is also the proud father of two incredible girls Emma Joy and Abby Grace.
