"One part of me is full of anger about this, and I think rightly so. Sin should anger us as it is so destructive to people's lives and dishonouring to God. Imagine the amount of people who feel confused and manipulated by his deception, as well as the tainted perception of Christianity that would be either created or reinforced in the minds of non-Christians.
Let us not live in fairy land here and pretend that as Christians we should not be angry. However, I think that while it is perfectly justified to be angry we should understand the grace that has been given to all of us, as sinners, and not look down on Mike Guglielmucci as a worse sinner than ourselves. We know that as Christians, we were enemies of God before Christ saved us and deserve nothing less than God's judgment. But instead we've received forgiveness and a new life as God's children."
