Playing violin and piano was the thing since I was 5 years old..With the examen on the Highschool in Hannover, you can say, I'm a state prooved diplom violinplayer - yees ... something for orchestra and classic freaks.... But Pink Floyd was crossing my life, when I was 15, so the dream of my mum to see me as classical violinplayer was successful gone into the wind......................................................
It wasn't easy to decide the way of rock'n roll, to trust in this way, of course, I got the examen, but to life with it, it's another thing... but this way was looking much more exciting. - So I had many experiences in different bands with rockstyle, this where very unusual, like an adventure of challenges of playing violin. Mainly it's until today Panama Red, now since over 20 years activ....
Many experiments in different styles I took for example also while playing on Hip Hop productions in the sutdio of the german group Die Fantastischen Vier, to join a production of André Heller. So I got more and more a mosaic of feel for most different kinds of violinplaying...................................
In the 90ies the biggest cosmic flashing inspiration for me was Porcupine Tree, such an amazing english rocky psychedelia fusion, - simply genial, for me the most coolest band ever!...................... Further, something really big for me it's India with their musically roots - so no way without to go to live there as an experience - the first time right there for half an year, the violin everytime ready to start. It leaves many marks in my playing of violin..................................................................
At the first July of 1995 I came to one little sweet cool party in the middle of the forest near Hamburg Horn - please please contact me, if somebody has still the flyer of this party!!... so I was infected with the virus of Goatrance..............
First attemps to come into this psychedelia scene musically were very difficult, but I saw a wonderful continue of the psychedelia 60ies and 70ies actually, so it touches me very much. But this time wasn't still prepared enough for some fusions of the electronic sounds with acoustic instruments. So I had the kick to change something there..........
After some little shows on parties with playing violin in chillout areas suddenly the right decisive step came to me one day to join Klangstarhler Project. It was finally 1999 a very professional meeting and work in this way of music, that made me really smile!.........................................................
2 years touring together on all biggest parties, also international ones were the result and I got a feel to climb a new dimension to play violin in a more minimal way, cause it was more that thing to express much with less keys and sounds, - it's more the sense to feel the right melody with only a few notes in a kind of psychedelia way as to play big virtous solos, what people still love in the rockmusic. Of course, when it will be rocky, I still love to rock the violin, - yeeaah!........................
The Album "Im Rausch der Sinne", the second album is a fantastic milestone with many influences of the violin as also with piano (first track), it's a known looking after release, simply timeless and since this release, Klangstrahler is known worldwide, so also professional fat shows were following....................................................................................................................................................
2001, the very sadly surprising break of this formation was a reason for to search new perspectives. On this way I met Mafaiza, an indian Djane, so we spend a lot of time together, playing shows (she on tables, me on violin) on nearly all biggest trance parties around Germany.
A wonderful CD album with Mafaiza was released in 2006 together with Veet Sandeh and me on violin and piano, with the title: "Liquid dreams", a really mystical chillout trip with many indian vibes, - really big!...........................................................................
Since 2007 I had many liveshows, really cool ones with U_Recken, Zero Cult, SiebZehN, Feuerhake, where I could feel so much freedom to expand my visions of playing violin, thanx for all to these artists and DJ's!........................................................................................................................
In February 2009 I had such a nice studio session with Vargo, he released lots of fat amazing tracks on Cafe del Mar albums, it was a real nice work, so keep an eye for the new album after the summer........................................................................................................................................................
It's quiet interesting, that it exists also one solo album of me, recorded 2006, only Miko without any other musicians, but who think, it's the ultimative madness of violin will wait endless, - it's a pure album of piano solo, only own tracks, 2 of them are in the player...........................................
Actually many projects works parallel: in acoustical way, there's Panama Red, - then Rangin, www.rangin.de - Molle: www.myspace.com/mollestoughcocktail - look for the song: Freund Govi - 7th track in playlist.....................
In the section of electronic chillout, I'm so happy to met Christian as SiebZehN, he became a very closed friend to me (look for top friend and hear the second track in the player), his tracks are outstanding!, - one track from us will be released on the next Fahrenheit 7 release on the Ultimae label in next time..
Also I was very happy about a new work together with Klangstarhler after 8-9 years!! A new album from 2008 with also a remixed album is aviable, very bluesy, earthy with a feel as a real band would play, but with lots of electronic sounds in an outstanding soundquality! This album should earn much more respect, really!...........................................................................
Parties with worldgroove feeling are a perfect place for Jan Kiehne as DJ and me, together as Groovepiraten, we love the fusion of electronic solid grooves with oriental/india sounds, so who likes DJ with violin in this way, please contact me....................................................................................
In the section of dance, trance and also fluffy chillout, I love to play together with Konstantin as DJ Lightrocker (www.spiritual-healing-records.de). Our duo is known since years on many mainfloors of all faat trance-festivals around North Germany. But also on different exhibitions, we feel home - specially Konstantins Blacklight exhibitons were be seen of thousands of peoples.....
So all in all, yeah, - there will go extremly something more :-))))))
