Our first vinyl record is out today! The limited-edition 7-inch release features the brand new songs "Halloween in Santa Ana" and "The Depths" and comes packaged in a hand-stamped, hand-numbered sleeve.

Each copy of vinyl will also come with a download code for getting the songs as high-quality MP3s. We're throwing in some exclusive bonus downloads with each vinyl as well: a new studio recording of our version of David Bowie's "Cat People," a behind-the-scenes video featurette, and more!

The vinyl will be available at our shows and at local record stores to start. If you'd like to order a copy online, please send us an email: milktoothmusic[at]gmail.com

We are currently in the studio tracking a few new songs that will be released later this fall! Back at the production helm is the great Tom Laune, who we worked with on our debut EP. Let's just say that we're very excited with the direction that these new recordings are taking. Stay tuned for more details about the release soon.

Today, we returned home from our first tour of the southeast with Charlie Hardin! Thanks so much to everyone in Atlanta GA, Columbia SC, Charlotte NC, Winston-Salem NC, Richmond VA, Huntington WV, Knoxville TN, and Canton GA who helped make the tour such a success.

We'll be looking to hit the road again this fall, so stay tuned for more tour dates soon. In the meantime, you can watch video blogs from this tour here.

In honor of our EP now being available on iTunes, we're going to give you a preview of each of the record's six songs over the next month, right here on myspace.

Starting today with "Sovereignty," we will post a new song from the EP every Wednesday for the next four weeks. So be sure to check back here every week to hear what's next. And, as always, please feel free to spread the word. Enjoy!

We have partnered with the new online music community known as Brite Revolution to bring you new music every month in a unique way.

Here's how it works: you can pay $4.99/month for a Brite subscription and you are then provided with an all-you-can-download buffet of non-DRM MP3s from us and over 20 other artists. As if that weren't enough, we're also donating 10% of your monthly payment to the International Justice Mission, which helps free children from sex slavery in the third world.

Click HERE to check it out and sign-up.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our EP release show last night at The Basement. It was great to see the room so packed full of people, even with Bonnaroo going on! Be on the look-out for some videos from that show coming soon... AND, of course, you can get your copy of our debut EP now by using the Paypal button to the left. Milktooth will be up on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc. within in a few weeks. Stay tuned for more shows this summer!

5/19/09
Our EP RELEASE SHOW will be on SATURDAY JUNE 13th at THE BASEMENT here in Nashville and you are cordially invited. $5 will get you in the door and another $5 will get you a copy of the EP to take home. You won't want to miss it. Tell your friends.

4/28/09
The song masters and album artwork for our debut EP are officially done and in the possession of the CD manufacturer. We'll be announcing the details for our EP's release soon, including a celebratory show here in Nashville. Stay tuned.

3/24/09
We have decided to take part of the album process across borders and employ one of Canada's finest mastering engineers, Mr. Harris Newman at Grey Market Mastering in Montreal, QC. He has worked with the likes of Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Crystal Castles, Handsome Furs, & Belle Orchestre to name a few. Needless to say, we are delighted with the result.

3/01/09
Hello all! We just finished our 6-song debut EP with our long-time friend, Tom Laune producing, recording, and mixing. It was great fun to make this record. It is loud.

"One of the more mesmerizing CDs I've heard in recent months. Milktooth's self-titled debut dabbles in a bit of everything, from noise-rock to glittering indie-pop and gentle folk. If a single theme ties the songs together, it's a surreal kind of creaky Americana, with spare acoustic instruments and sometimes haunting atmospherics, led by the howling voice of frontman David Condos."
-Robin Hilton, NPR's All Songs Considered

"A masterpiece. This is as close as you can get to originality in today’s music scene."
-Taking Over

"Milktooth's debut album is a dynamic inaugural effort...with wide accessibility and appeal. Sonorous guitar tone, percussive whacks, and memorable songwriting combine to make this Nashville band one to keep your finger on."
-The Deli Magazine

"Every bit as exciting as your current favorite local band."
-Nashville Mixtapes

"Raucously haunting...and on par with early KOL and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Their songs are bathed in reverb and filled with glorious moments of tension/release that find [vocalist David] Condos humming quietly one moment and screaming at the top of his lungs the next."

Thanks David.  Yes, and the third VEILS record is equally great!  So glad I found you guys.  I'd been wondering what Ian was up to musically and I remember him telling me about your music years ago when I was in Nashville and then moved to NYC.  Ya'll sound fantastic and I'll definitely grab the ep of ITUNES and keep up with new developments.  GRIMEY'S on FB is actually responsible for recommending you amongst a list of newer Nashville bands to me as I asked them who some of the hot new ones around your area are these days.  Cheers!
