About me:
'Milky Globe is the latest project from Jon Tye, label boss of Lo Recordings. Previous outings have covered everything from Acid and Deep House (Funtopia), Techno and Ambient (MLO) Trip Hop and Downtempo (2 Player) Noise and Drill ‘N’ Bass (Twisted Science) and even ‘Post Garage’ mash up’s (Hairy Butter). Like the label he runs this man is ‘resplendent in divergence’ for sure. And whilst there was a time when his DJ sets were likely ‘to clear not just dancefloors but whole buildings’ his recent relocation to Cornwall finds him in more mellow musical mood'.
The 'Milky Globe & friends' album was released in 2007 with collaborations including James Holden, Aeroplane, Nathan Fake, Isan and Luke Vibert.
Other projects include Black Mustang with Jon Brooks. The Black Mustang remix of Black Devil's 'Constantly No Respect' is out now. The Black Mustang/Kerrier District/Sleeparchive 12" 'Blackout' is also available. New tracks from Milky Globe and Black Mustang later in 2008. Various DJ and live datess around the globe.
