Influences ***PRODUCER (Mind Distortion System - a.k.a. M.D.S.): Nelson describes his style as "energetic, night, psychedelic and twisted, "psytrance as much for the brain as the body, night music but not necessarily dark. Yes, the night is dark, but it is many other things as well."

Artistic influences include Jahbo, Bonky, Ocelot and GOW, to name a few.

Astute listeners will recognize (wink wink) many other "influences" in M.D.S.'s music...to name just a few: Cheech, Chong , Fear, Loathing, Las Vegas, Kill Bill, Samuel L. Jackson, Johnny Depp...and aliens, aliens, ALIENS...!

***DJ : Expect what he refers to as "essence of psy" DJ sets.

   About Mind Distortion System
Out Now Distorted Shire

In 1994, Brussels-born and raised Nelson Jara Dos Santos was back in his native Portugal. There, he was taken to a Goa Gil party...and was hooked.

In 1998, he began to DJ darker-style psychedelic music and started to learn production a few years later - his first track was released in 2206 on Trishula.

In 2002, he co-founded Mystical Druids Society - MDS parties are known for known for their special vibe - supremely positive and psychedelic+++ and intelligent line-ups (the right music for the right time).

Since 2007, Nelson's productions have expanded - he is now a happy papa and also busy heading up Lycantrop Records along with wife Keira, Nelson remains committed to the psychedelic trance undergound.
