Mind Funk Music has established and manifested itself out of the remains of Mind Funk Parties and Mind Funk Records.
After having started with the 1st Mind Funk parties back in 2001-2002 in Amsterdam - Holland, together with old partner DJ Arara, DJ Shawnodese has continued to carry the Mind Funk flag till the very day of today. The Mind Funk formula has been expanded over the past years from a small party organization into a professional psy-trance label. The style of releases has been changing over the past years, starting as a more full-on orientated label in corporation with Inpsyde Media back in 2005, to a more solid psychedelic label nowadays.
Our aim is to deliver you the very best psy-trance music worldwide according to our globally tested standards and values of what is truly psychedelic mind-altering music. The term “psychedelic” has been abused heavily in this music scene over the past few years in our opinion, and we’re truly trying to deliver music that lives up to the true meaning of the word, instead of just using it as a marketing phrase. Mind Funk is always scouting the planet in search for real psychedelic top notch tuneage. Its aim and holy mission is to try and stand out from the commercial mass-productions that dominate the psytrance market nowadays.
We're offering you only what is the very best according to our standards, which is of course a personal thing and a matter of taste, but till now we’ve had incredible positive response to all releases done so far . Also the next releases will be a kick-ass blend of well established names, mixed up with new storming talent, all with the goal to get your synapses popping of pure pleasure. Mind Funk Music is being managed by DJ Shawnodese as mentioned before, supported by a fine team of carefully selected dj's, producers, designers and promoters worldwide that all work together as a professional team, supporting and backing each other up wherever needed. They are not all just simply colleagues and/or partners in business, but are also good friends & buddies in real life, this is what we all believe to be a solid foundation to create a future together as a fine working team.
