"Serge Gainsbourg's "Chez Les Ye-Ye" gets the hard grooving remix treatment from Minimatic -- with a similarly wonderful "Le Quizz" on the flip! "Ye Ye" manages to mix in a number of styles, and Minimatic's mix wizardry is wise enough to play up the pulpy sounds that Gainsbourg played in so wonderfully -- from an opening guitar groove that hints at a jazzy approach to rockabilly, building quickly into heavy bossa percussion with groovy French vocals, moddish organ and a bit of funk!
