The Minivip from Novara are one of the top bands in the italian mod/powerpop scene. Their sound is an explosive blend of Soul Jazz, Beat and Brit Pop, all held together by the sound of the Hammond organ, like a cross between The Rolling Stones, Supergrass and the James Taylor Quartet.
The boys started the band in 2002, and were soon noticed for their outstanding live shows. The year 2003 saw their first official release: the song "Mi Manchi Ormai" was published in the compilation "Get Smart III".
The following year they released their first full length album for the newborn indie label Recordkicks, to ecstatic reviews in the italian music press (Il Mucchio Selvaggio, Rockerilla etc.).
They toured Italy through 2005, opening for The Ordinary Boys in Turin and even playing 4 shows in Sardinia.
In 2006 they recorded a new instrumental track ("Miss Augusta") for the Recordkicks compilation "Let's Boogaloo Vol.3".
They've recently played in France and toured Sardinia for the second time, while recording their second album.
If you get the chance, DO NOT miss them live!
