"To play until the end of time," drummer Stella Mozgawa continues. "Until the end of the universe."
These days it seems rock can move at a snail's pace ... what with bands marching to corporate schedules and marketing strategies, over-thinking everything along the way, it can take a couple of years just to get an album released.
But MINK is seizing the moment ... and intends to hold on tightly.
The band has clearly hit the ground running. Formed just a blink ago in Spring 2006, MINK has already written more than 60 songs (30 of them in one intense three-week stretch), recorded its debut album in just four weeks (with noted producer Sylvia Massy of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool fame), shot one of the most fun videos of recent times for its infectious song "Talk to Me" with director Christian Lamb (Madonna, Korn, Kelly Clarkson, Incubus Madonna), had another song "Pressure Pressure" featured nightly in ESPN's 2006 Major League baseball playoffs coverage and has established itself as one of the most exciting new live acts on the scene both in its own club shows and opening big-venue concerts by Angels & Airwaves among others. And all that while going back and forth between New York (from where Carlson hails) and Australia (home to drummer Mozgawa, lead guitarist Nick Maybury, and bassist Grant Fitzpatrick).
Hey Friends!
Just wanted to say hi and let you know that we'll have some unreleased tracks from our album sessions available for free download in the coming weeks. All of these tracks were very hard for us to keep off the album so we're really to happy to get them to ya finally.

Hey Minksters!
Hope you had a wonderful and raucous holiday season. As you are probably aware, playtime is over and it's time to throw the egg nog back in the liquor cabinet and start waking up before dinnertime.
With these new responsibilities in mind I feel compelled to tell you of something I encountered on my recent travels around America. Behold the bacon-donut.
You may be thinking "Hey Stella! What's up? That picture just looks like a puddle of vomit! Oh, and while I'm here please stop wearing green and blue together, it makes me feel weird."
Alas, it is true. My two least favourite things in the world have joined forces to spread misery and love-handles. The bacon donut must be stopped.
Love,
Stella x

July 28, 2008 I Want My Fuji!
Hajimi Mashite!
My desire for Japanese soil has stretched long and... desirous. It exceeded all my expectations. Fuji Rocks is the most delightful, clean, conscious and stimulating music festival I've ever been to and I feel terribly honoured to have been a part of it.
Here's a special photo I took midway through our set. It's a real shame about the turnout
Uh. What a beautiful surprise! Everyone was so accommodating; the crowd, our new friends and especially the Avex crew.
Check out more of my photos RIGHT HERE and a video in the works.
Love, Stella

Thank you to the amazing Japanese fans - you are beautiful, so cool, and generous. Special thanks to Yuki and Yumi for my amazing headband. I promise to wear it every day until I am 80 years old.
Also thanks to Miho and everyone at Avex Records for making our first trip to Japan so special. We'll never forget the experience!
Here are some pictures from Fuji Rock. I'll post a few more soon on the mink blog. Arigato gozaimasu!!!!!

May 19th, 2008 Some Kind of Monster
Hello Minksters!
Hope you are all well. We've been taking a break after our last US tour for the March On Stage initiative (thank you to all at Hard Rock) and bumping into some fully fledged musical legends. Here's a little pic of my friend Flea and his friend Lars at the benefit concert for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music; where I will soon be taking some piano lessons. Get ready for me to fire out some Beethoven hits in the near future. Ahem..
It's supposed to be absurd. It's the very first episode of INTERGALACTIC and it's the first thing me and Morgan have ever acted in. It's a work in progress. I learn as I go. It's a great start though. We had a lot of fun and will be putting more stuff out soon. Maybe next time we'll have a script. I fucking find it HILARIOUS!!!! I'm so proud of how bad it sucks. I hate introductions... I can't just start killing people. Maybe next time... maybe next time.Enjoy... we'll be back.I love love LOVED making this.
Guess what?! I heard your stuff on another TV thing. Ha. I bet you guys love how I can recognize your stuff, hey? First time it was during a Columbus Blue Jacket's playoff game. This past one was during the MTV Movie Awards. I doubt you care, but congrats! Hopefully my band gets goin' soon. We could tour together ;) I'm still going to try and get the guys to cover one of your songs, and if we do, I'm posting it here so you guys can check 'er out!
hey .. hope you're feeling good =)...here's a video that may make you feel better(if you're not:P), it's rather interesting/entertaining. glad we're friends :)
stopped by to listen to some fave tunes! started LOL when i thought about the first time hearing Jodi live & i'd misunderstood some of the lyrics. "i got my handcuffs & a brand new shirt"! hahaha. WTF? Handcuffs!
