"We're totally ready," says MINK singer Neal Carlson.
"To play until the end of time," drummer Stella Mozgawa continues. "Until the end of the universe."
These days it seems rock can move at a snail's pace ... what with bands marching to corporate schedules and marketing strategies, over-thinking everything along the way, it can take a couple of years just to get an album released.
But MINK is seizing the moment ... and intends to hold on tightly.
The band has clearly hit the ground running. Formed just a blink ago in Spring 2006, MINK has already written more than 60 songs (30 of them in one intense three-week stretch), recorded its debut album in just four weeks (with noted producer Sylvia Massy of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool fame), shot one of the most fun videos of recent times for its infectious song "Talk to Me" with director Christian Lamb (Madonna, Korn, Kelly Clarkson, Incubus Madonna), had another song "Pressure Pressure" featured nightly in ESPN's 2006 Major League baseball playoffs coverage and has established itself as one of the most exciting new live acts on the scene both in its own club shows and opening big-venue concerts by Angels & Airwaves among others. And all that while going back and forth between New York (from where Carlson hails) and Australia (home to drummer Mozgawa, lead guitarist Nick Maybury, and bassist Grant Fitzpatrick).

Grant
Famed Producer
Hey everyone!
I've been keeping myself very busy in Los Angeles, currently writing and recording some demos with revered producer/beats master/sonic legend "Bugsy".
Among other things, Bugsy has introduced me to some ancient meditation techniques to realise my full creative potential. I'm hoping to release some of these truly special works upon your ears in the not too distant future.
Stay tuned,
Peace and love - Stella
Hot Rod
I have taken some time out from my music for a week and a bit over here on the east coast in Boston and revisited one of my childhood memories Hot Rods!! my dad and uncle used to build them back wen i was younger. this one here is one that used to race at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah Salt lake city many years ago. it is a wild beast and tops speed at like 160 mph!!! not bad for an old rod

Lady Liberty
It seems that Spring has officially sprung in NYC. I awoke this morning to find this sunny and inspiring photo from Grant in my inbox:
To understand the full significance of such a photo you must know that Los Angeles has only one environmental advantage which it holds over New York's head, occasionally forcing it into New York's mouthhole kicking it into her face till she chews on the truth.
This piece of pie is: good weather.
Since the weather has climbed to "perfect" in NYC, those of us in Los Angeles have only one thing left to do. Admit defeat. Until next winter. x Stella
Grant's New Studio
Hey everyone! With the help of home studio magic, bitchen tunes are never far away. Grant's new setup is brought to you by Digidesign. Have a gander at this puppy:
Now, I don't know about you but I believe this is precisely what you want to feel like when you purchase hardware like the Mbox. Content, calm and knowing that your musical ingenuity can be fully expressed through the use of this product. Sound like an ad for Digidesign? It is! Ha! But in all seriousness, they would do well to use this image to tap into the female demographic, right ladies? x Stella
Some Kind of Monster
Hello Minksters! Hope you are all well. We've been taking a break after our last US tour for the March On Stage initiative (thank you to all at Hard Rock) and bumping into some fully fledged musical legends. Here's a little pic of my friend Flea and his friend Lars at the benefit concert for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music; where I will soon be taking some piano lessons. Get ready for me to fire out some Beethoven hits in the near future. Ahem..
Also, don't forget to vote for us on www.famecast.com. Just go to our backstage area and follow the links. Much appreciated!
Love,

Get It Right Video: Official Release!
Hello hello people of myspace. Our "Get It Right" video has been officially released into the world! Here's a little blurb from Grant. x Stella
The 'Get It Right' clip was inspired by The Beatles 'Help' and a Japanese show I watched as a kid called Monkey Magic. It was also an extension of what we did in MINK TV in the fact that we wanted to use Iconic NY locations such as the Coney Island Boardwalk. We shot the clip on a minus zero winter's day and nearly froze our bit's of in those tights , but it was all worth it. Scarlett Johansen was one of the many perplexed onlookers that day as we chased each other around Coney Island & Dumbo . I hope you enjoy Grant Fitz

Optical Illusion in New Orleans
This photo was taken in New Orleans and it is an optical illusion. In the photo, you will see two people who look virtually identical. The trick is to identify Neal, singer of Mink. Although both people look exactly the same, one is not Neal. The second photo is Stella rockin some karate just off Bourbon St. Holla!

MINK in Hollywood
Here's a killer shot of a party that Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine threw in LA a few days ago. Stella and Nick were there playing, as well as Slash, Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains, and our good friend Perry Farrell. Check out our blog for the Rolling Stone article about it.
