LAUNCH CONCERT on Tuesday December 11TH in Kennedy's, Westland Row
FEATURING LIVE PERFORMANCE BY
Miriam Ingram & Full Band and Special guests Ian
McDonnell, Locus Solus and Fairlights
'Trampolonica', the follow-up remix album to Miriam Ingram's widely
acclaimed debut release 'Trampoline, is being launched on 11th
December in Kennedy's Westland Row, Dublin 2.
'Trampolonica' is an ELECTRONIC VERSION of 'Trampoline', Miriam's
debut album that was released in October 2006 to rave reviews. The
new remix album 'Trampolonica' features remixes by leading electronic
artists, both from Ireland and abroad, re-mixing the original songs
featured on the Trampoline album. Only the original audio files have
been used in the remixes adding up to incredibly diverse and alluring
versions of Miriam's work by artists including Decal, Sunken Foal,
Fairlights, Jason Forrest (Cockrock Disco), Herv, Ian McDonnell
(Lakker) and The Last Sound.
Trampolonica is being released on Go Away Recordings, an Irish label
that began life in '04 with the intention of, like most small labels,
attracting some attention to interesting music, which might otherwise
remain unheard. www.goawayrecordings.com or www.myspace.com/goawayrecordings
"Trampoline deserves to be ranked amongst the most interesting and challenging records released in Ireland this year"
Sunday Tribune (CD of the week)
Miriam Ingram's elegant and unique debut album, "Trampoline", was released in Ireland a few months ago. Here is an album that is both delicate and bold. Trampoline engages with the darker realms of life and love and curiously explores the world of dreams and sensuality. There are melodies you can taste, beats you can feel travelling over your skin. The songs themselves induce the scent of sunny wintry days, smoke-filled bars and industrious architecture. Whilst being thrillingly modern, it also possesses the warmth of classic songwriting. Both the album itself and its live presentation are underlined by innovative sonic orchestration - organic and electronic elements entwine and beget something a little different.
Best accompanied by a crackling fire, or a steaming bath-tub and of course, a glass of red wine…
Trampoline is currently available nationwide in Ireland, courtesy of Gael Linn Distribution. It is also available world-wide via Miriam's website www.miriamingram.com

Hi Miriam. Andy Colbert, who has been playing guitar with me for nearly 16 years, is moving to Sweden at the end of July. To give him a bit of a send-off myself and a few other bands he’s worked with have decided to throw a surprise gig for him in The Button Factory (formerly The Temple Bar Music Centre) next week (Wed 2nd July).
We’ve managed to put a great line-up together, and we’re only charging a small admission price to cover the cost of hiring the venue and staff.
I’ll be playing with my full ten-piece band, and the rest of the acts are all brilliant, including: The Pale, Pugwash, Saville, and 16 Layers.
Gig details: Wed 2nd July, The Button Factory in Temple Bar, Dublin. Admission 10 Euro (tbc) Doors 8:00pm.
Obviously we can’t advertise it, as it’s a surprise party, so it’d be great if you could spread the word.
Hello, Miriam, nice to hear from you. I'm having a busy year, but I'm managing to keep my projects on the front burner as much as is possible. When you least expect it I will be zapping something your way. I hope your own creative doings are coming along nicely. How is that new record? Has it left the personal formative stage yet?
sorry, that was supposed to be "shleep" by robert wyatt - but in truth, i've been listening to his "rock bottom" album mostly - its bloody brill - my bro gave it to me about five years ago but i'm only now realising that i should've paid much more attention - jazz, psychadelia, eng-folk, eno, oldfield: all the best ingredients! - buy "rock bottom" today at your local petrol station
"Struggles & Lulls", the brand new album from Joan Coffey, is available now on ITunes
'a voice that can enchant. Coffey's vocal chords deliver liquid gold with a divine Irish lilt.' FATEA Records 'charming and honest'. Time Out 'Joan's music exudes a warmth, humility and truth that is rare to find in singer-songwriters these days'. Thea Gilmore

nope, he got to the end of it where he found a canal and sat down. he took some time to think about life. he stared at the swans who were swimming gently around the locke with their fluffy grey signets... thought about how they can be so graceful and powerful. he thought about other people who come to sit by the canal and how the swans must have witnessed so much human joy and sorrow. because that's where people come when they have extreme feelings. they're drawn to the soul mirror, the silver sky reflection. something about it makes it easy to talk to yourself. and he thought about learning how to speak to the swans... and that he could maybe leave messages with them for other people. people he once loved, people he now loved and people he wished he could love. and that maybe the swans would see these people some day and let them know how he felt. the end.
