Idiocracy's Interests
General
Obviously, my band the missing: is of the *utmost* importance to me. But aside from that...the key to my heart is through humor. Make me laugh and I'm yours! I *love* food, especially anything I haven't tried yet. I'm as happy getting sleazily-dressed-up and going out to a goth-industrial club as I am staying home and watching a movie in my PJs. I like to challenge my fears rather than be controlled by them (i.e., my fear of water made me get my SCUBA certification; my fear of heights made me jump out of a plane). I'm pretty much up for anything and I *always* have fun wherever I go and whatever I do, so long as I like the people I'm with. Oh, and I *love* to cook...almost as much as I love to eat.
Music
I'm a classically-trained musician who now fronts a goth-metal band (the missing:). There's very little I don't listen to. Though obviously I've a penchant for goth, industrial, metal, rock and punk, my music collection is far more varied than that. But if you've just GOTTA know...'Weird Al' Yankovic, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Dead Can Dance are my all-time favorites.
Movies
Comedy, horror, sci-fi, action, or even just really fucking weird, out-there indie stuff. "Chick flicks" make me want to kill people, so if the only plot line is two people falling in love or some other mushy bullshit like that...FORGET IT. Just TRY to take me to one of those crappy flicks and you'll wake up in the crawlspace. If you wake up at all. 'Nuff said.
Television
The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Tick (cartoon only, please!), South Park, Kathy Griffin's 'My Life On The D-List', Dirty Jobs, Monster House, classic unedited Looney Tunes, Chappelle's Show, really nerdy shows where you actually learn shit on Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet and the History Channel, Ren & Stimpy, Happy Tree Friends, The Critic, The Oblongs and reruns of Wonder Woman and The Munsters.
Books
I know the cool thing to do would be to list all of the NY Times best-selling authors here. But in truth, I like a lot of non-fiction: I like books on forensics; serial killers; war; biographies; animal studies; physics; encyclopedias; true crime; even the dictionary, fer crying out loud. In my work as an EMT and now as a Paramedic, I have found that fact and "real life" can be FAR more entertaining than fiction. So I guess I have gravitated away from fantasy literature and into the more bizarre realm of reality. That being said, my favorite book of all time is "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury. Go figure.
I like cheese. And I mean that in every sense.
I love to laugh, and I love to make others laugh...even if it's at me. Which it usually is. I'm a PeeWee Herman trapped in a Morticia body; a disturbing mesh of comedy and horror. Think Elvira with smaller boobs or Lily Munster minus the streak.

Who I'd like to meet: Someone who enjoys my company as much as I enjoy theirs. Someone who will always tell me the truth that hurts rather than a lie that doesn't. And someone who wants to have fun and laugh.
I'm always excited about things I haven't tried yet. But beware: I'm not a girly-girl. I will always try to pick up the tab, and don't try any "date-flick" moves with me or I'll break your arm. I'm as likely to feed a homeless animal as I am to scare the bejeezus out of small children. I normally look like a weirdo but I clean up real nice. I'm emotionally unavailable, but feel free to try again later. And I have an educational pedigree that'll impress even your mom. ;)
