Mr.Slash is a 19 year old
Producer hailing from South East London.
He first started producing about 3 years ago, in January 2004 when he was bought a PC and Fruityloops 3.56, ever since then he's been working hard
making various styles of music mainly Grime, during this time he's been making unique tracks in his own style, however he doesn't only have one main
style and is one of the most versatile young producers in the scene and has made tracks in all different styles within the 140BPM tempo bracket, ranging
from the anthem “Concerto Riddim” to the more mellow “Keep On Moving” as vocalled by Scorcher and
Roll Deep’s Wiley.
He's comfortable making tracks whatever way he has to, whether it's being sampled or played in. But has recently cut down on sampling to show his real
composing talent, Over the last 2 year’s he's been receiving heavy airplay on Legal and Pirate stations such as Kiss100 (100.0), BBC 1Xtra (DAB/Online) & Rinse FM (100.3) to name a few. DJ's Such as Ace & Invisible, Ras Kwame, Logan Sama, DJ Cameo, Rossi B & Luca, Maximum & Mac 10 have been some of the main DJ's supporting him
during this time.
He's produced for 7 of the biggest MC's from Grime's Mixtapes, He produced “Disturbed” & “Hannah” on L-Man's debut mixtape 'Facts Of Life (Volume 1)’ “Skinny Sort” on Ghetto's first mixtape ‘2000 & Life’, “Boy With The Fire” the title track on Syer Bars’ first mixtape ‘Boy With The Fire’, “Murder Music” on Devlin’s
first mixtape ‘Tales From The Crypt’, “Skinny Sort (Remix)” on The Movement’s debut mixtape ‘Tempo Specialists’, “Neck
Of The Woods” on Faction G’s second mixtape ‘The Fact Remains’ & “Sister Sister” on Wiley's 5th installment in the Tunnel Vision series. Future projects that Slash has produced for are; True Tigers' ‘Eye Of The Tiger (Volume 2)’, Ny’s ‘Split Endz (Volume 2)’, Scorcher's 2nd mixtape ‘Leader Of The New School’, Ghetto's 2nd mixtape ‘Ghetto Gospel’, Wiley's next mixtape
‘Umbrella (Volume 1)', In Da Hood's ‘Hood Tape’, P-Money's
‘Money Makes The World Go Round’, Little Dee's debut mixtape ‘Don’t Let The Name Trick You’ and a few
others.
Although producing for these projects has helped him gain some more recognition in the scene his vinyl EP’s have been the real key to Slash’s success,
His debut release 'The Concerto EP' came out on his ex-manager Rossi B's label (A.R.M.Y Bullet) The 4 track EP Featuring the Underground Anthem 'Concerto Riddim' was his real entry
into the scene and was released on Monday 20th of February 2006, some 3 months after the scheduled release date. After only 4 days of being on sale it
charted in the 1xtra UK Garage sales chart at Number 2, making it the highest new entry that week, it went on to sell over 800 units and hit the Number 1
spot. After this he released his highly anticipated 2nd EP ‘The Getting Childish EP’ which
featured the 8 bar smash ‘Kidset Anthem’ which featured some of the freshest talent the Grime Scene had to offer, this came out in November 2006 and sold
just over 500 units, After seeing that he was selling a nice amount of units he decided to put out his 3rd EP just 1 month after this, It was an
instrumental EP titled ‘2 Piece Chicken, Chips, No Drink EP’ which featured ‘Practice Hours’
the intro music to the Urban Lifestyle DVD PHTV (Volume 1), The ‘Skinny Sort’ Instrumental
made famous by Ghetto and the darker ‘Murder Music’ track, This was released in December 2006 and sold about 450 units, It also charted in the BBC 1xtra
sales chart at Number 9. Exactly a year after releasing ‘The Concerto EP’ Slash put out his 4th EP the ‘Slashtrumental EP’ on Monday 19th February. Unlike his
previous 3 releases this came out on his own label, not A.R.M.Y Bullet. This is his most current release and is still in stock in shops for just £5.
He will begin work on his two albums soon, The first being an Instrumental Album and the second a Vocal Album, but starting these projects has been
delayed due to his graphics card being f*cked.
I’d like to thank everyone who's been supporting my music over the years and helping me to get where I am in the music industry/life.
Special thanks to;
